Like it says, while accelerating smoothly, at 2100 (~2000-2200) rpm she feels rough. It’s nothing external, it feels like something internal (as in engine wise). Thoughts anyone :?
I doubt anything internal would be so specific …
Sounds like bad ignition components, or possibly fuel starvation …
When it “runs rough” what does it do?
Does it surge, misfire, or just not go faster?
I can feel it, basically it doesn’t have that smooth acceleration as usual, at that specific point it feels rough. It doesn’t surge or anything like that, the rpms are consistant to the acceleration. I don’t quite know how else to explain it, it just ‘feels’ rough… :?
could be the reverence(sp) frequency of your hood or other parts of the car. Meaning it will cause it to vibrate as a standing wave which will vibrate alot harder than usual.
I have a similar problem with my s13, it doesn’t reduce acceleration or anything, it just kinda feels “rough” like he said, I only have this issue in 1st and 2nd gear around those rpm, after that it is gone.
ditto^
If I’m travelling along at a relatively constant speed, say around 60-70ish which is at around 2100rpms, she feels rough. That is a good point about the vibration bit. Any cures or ?
On a sidenote, when I put my rear defroster on my rpms drop by like 100-200. This only happens when the car isn’t warmed up yet. Bad ground or ?
The battery is relatively new.
