well i just put back in my engine after cleaning up my engine bay. and now my car doesnt run properly.
the car shakes alot, and when i press on tha pedal tha rpms will go like it should, then when i let go of tha gas, it will fall down to ~200rpm for few seconds then return back to a little lower than 700 rpms. and still shakes alot.
im leaning towards a vacuumn leak, but im unsure. the car ran perfectely fine before i took it out.
i also had a fuel leak on the lines, but now is fixed, and i also have a exhaust leak on the cat. but i dont think tha exhaust leak would make my engine shake soo much and have a large effect on the idle.
i have spark on each cylinder, and have fuel going through the lines. not sure if its going through each cylinder though. i will test that probably tommorow.
but i dont think its running on 2 or 3 cylinders though, since i can rev it normally, and hit redline easily.
I had the same shaking, turned out it was one of the ignition coil packs weren’t firing.
As for the rpm dropping, I’m having the same problem. I believe that when the engine placed in neutral after it runs, the rpms drop and something prevents it from dropping too low causing the car to stall. Maybe it’s the IACV?
Sorry to hijack your thread, but does anyone know where the IACV is located in the SR20DET?
200 mph is roughtly 321 km/h and you can’t possibly do that with a 240 let alone any fast production car so stop bullsh!tting
and the reason why the car is shaky is because aerodynamics sucks in your car and/or your frame is not tolerable at that kind of speed
is it just shakey at idle. cus its possibly you have a leak in the intake system after the MAF the car cant sence that its gettin to much air or why it is running lean so it adjusts fuel to compensate when there is no need its just a thought but it is a possible problem
good luck
hmmm… i never checked that could be a possibility cause i threw my intake hose in my sideyard and not sure if i possibly have cracked it… i will check that out tommorow. thnx for tha advice
and yea the car doesnt just shake during idle. it shakes if you keep it running at any rpm for a while. if you get what i mean. (e.g 2000rpm for few seconds or more)
oyeaa and the exhaust smells more like gas than a usual car. and smokes more. but it is not white or black its just grey, and it spitted out alot of carbon.
