Shaking????

just got a 89 240 and man does that thing shake…the stick moves inside the car but stops wen i hold on to it…do u think the enigne mounts need replcing or wat? plus i hear this cliking noise wen the cars runnig…is it mis firing or the timning off…??

Sounds like a valve problem if the car is ticking. But I’m not sure.
More info is needed.

Also, this is not the forum for it. Tech forums is for questions like these.

my sohc diid somthign similar when my 4th injector lead was toast. ran on 3 for a few er um days. Shook wildly and the valves were noisy. Pull your plugs and see if they are all firing.

*im a friend of his

It shakes alot, we should check if all plugs are firing then huh?

It even sounds like its got a really silent backfire at times and that tick is most definetly the valves, if not then the wires are arching out but I didn’t see anything.

Can anybody suggest how to check each injector?

Check Timing guys sounds like its rediciously advanced.

Set it to 16degrees and you will have a nice healthy shake.

The ka motor has a skake to it, those motors like it rough. :stuck_out_tongue:

when you need an oil change your vavles click on the KA.

but if you really notice it, its probably not that.

I had a nasty shaking but I changed the oil and replaced the spark plugs.
I am actually surprised at how much an oil change has on these Kae engines. Anyways hope it helps!

KA’s have huge crank drag in the oil pan.

Try filling the oil next time you change it to jsut the low line nothing more and take her for a boot you will notice a heck of alot more responce and power.
