I am looking for a solvent for silicone/ RTV sealer I have many aluminum pieces that have this on them. I am going to soda blast the sealer off but would like to speed the process up by softening it. Does anybody have any suggestions?
Honestly, I did a bunch of work with this, and it’s not easy to get it to disolve.
The red bottle aerosol brake cleaner stuff works ok to loosen it, but it won’t dissolve it.
I don’t really need to disolve it because I will be blasting it but anything to loosen it should make a big difference overall. I am going to have to a very large quantity in a small amount of time. Thanks!
