rx-7 or 1g tsi talon

i was loking at weaponR’s rx-7 and slowmk3supra talon and im not sure which one i like better. i have heard the stories about both of the cars, how the talons blows head glaskets and how rx-7 blows seals or some like that. i just wanted to know how true this stories are. :dunno: the know there is 3500 difference between the 2 cars but i would like to know the pros and cons both the 2.

thanks for your help.

just dont go rotary…

1g talon tsi but im biased because i own a Dsm

RX7 with LS1 :burnout:

Rx-7 with LS1…Dsm with the right owner.

the 13b is known for blowing apex seals…neither of thse cars are going to be reliable really due to age …but the dsm will be easier to fix and they have a loyal following .if you can learn the rotary it is a great way to make power at high rpms and it does handle better than most cars.
all in all I say neither find a civic hatch shell and get parts off the guys on here they are reliable and cost effective.

the rx7 will prove to be more expensive to maintain/upgrade if needed. just my opinion. i would go with a dsm

i own a 1980 RX-7 and i never ever get tired of the sound it makes. go RX-7 you will be happier. and no it doesnt really cost that much more to own one. parts come fairly cheap if you know where to look

The old NA rx-7’s are great. Last damned near forever.

The rotary has never have taken well to turbo/supercharging because knock is DEADLY.

The FD’s wit hthe turbos have a bad reputation because of this

what years are the cars?

really dsm’s dont blow headgaskets if u put on a mls or a comtic on it. my 92 w/ 16 g at 25lbs of boost has held fine for the last 2 years but before that i blew a flepro hg and parts are easy to come by for dsm. ive only heard bout how rotor seals fail rather quickly on rx-7 but very few people have rx-7’s but they do have a nice distinic sound to them

You know you want to buy my car.. Actually it is just nice to see that there is interest. lol

thanks everybody for they help and advice.

so you decied on the right choice…the RX-7?
