s13 handbrake relocation

Hey fellas,
I’m sure I’m not the only one who finds the postion of the s13 handbrakes annoying? I was wondering if anyones got any info on doing a relocation, I like the location of the Z32 brakes, how it sits away from my right leg.

I’ve yet to found a clear image or link to someone whos done something like this (at this point I’m sure every mod’s been attempted). I’m willing to cut into my centerconsole and rebuild which will probably be necessary.

If anyones got a link or something that’ll help lemme know.

jdm console + hand brake = hand brake on the passenger side…

hehe, thanks ted, but im looking to do more than just a jdm console + handbrake swap.

e-brakes are mechincal correct? like the cable is tightened when pulled? if that’s all there is to it, then i just wanna move mine over, and get it cleanly into the console like a z32, rx7 etc.

How would you get it cleanly if your console is not shaped to accept it on the passenger side? I never got why people insist on re-inventing the wheel when there’s a perfect OEM quality one available for cheap. You will not do a better job than Nissan, I can bet anything on that.

i agree, im not going to do a better job then nissan, but this stupid handbrake is like the tags in your shirts that just give you that iche and you can’t help it so you cut the damn thing off, same situation for me, it just annoys me plain and simple.

i’ll do the relocation, and i’ll cusomize and refinish my center console. i know i’ll be happy with it, thats all that matters.

why move it… i love the location… try using the ebrake on a 93 accord then you will know hell…

Yeah…why move it i find it in a good lacation…i mean i hit my knee on it sometimes but for driving its in a good place lol.

anyone that knows how to fiberglass could easily make you a console that would accept the e-brake! make it to the way you want it, if u don’t smoke, then what do u need an ashtray for?? put a fucking cup holder in there!! i hate burning my nutz on Tim Horton’s!! might cost more, but it would be well worth not roasting your nutz!!

I see a lot of drifters that change the handle only and make it bigger and bend it out more, but were talking about a pure drift car.

get a buick, then the parking brake will be on the floor.

240 h brakes are nice and close so you can reef them while you driftousss

well from what ive gathered. You already have the answer. Get a JDM centre console. Direct link to image of a z32 interior. and the handbrake is on the right side instead of left

you have said in ur posts u want it just like the z32. and well, thats exactly how the z32 would be set up. Ur just gonna have to modify the position

the only other thing i can think of is. u want a z32 centre console instead of urs? and if so why?
