s13 Has nooooooo spark... HELP!

well mine runs good, it’s actually BSZK’s, and i’m just helping out

the problem goes, he was driving and it pretty much stalls out.
we’ve been working on it for a while now and here’s what we got to.

  1. fuses seem all good
  2. we know we have no spark
  3. when i put a bolt meter across the coil leads i get zero voltage
but when i have the meter across the + terminal and ground (such as
sanded down part of the bay or the engine block) i get somrthing like
    10.33 volts

Then i figured, “well it’s gotta b the fkin ground” so i tried

a) un hooking the negative, putting a fresh wire in between new ground and
positive… result? no reading on the volt meter whatsoever
b) with the negative still on, added a fresh wire going from the negative
to the ground… result? blown fuses everytime.

i looked at the wiring diagram… but… can’t really figure out the problem
by that.

I’m going to try connecting positive and negative together, close the
existing circuit without going to the coil and try drawing power
straight from the battery…
u think it would work? any suggestions?

try swapping the coil before you mess with the wiring any more.

it has been done

i’ve tried what i said i was gonna try, and when i did it, it won’t even crank…

so far,
we have: Eliminated the distributor, the coil, and the module under the distributor cap as the problem.

when i hook up volt meter across + on the battery and - on the coil…
i get 12V so i guess all the connections… good… i still get no reading
across the coil (postive and negative) though.

Any suggestion?

how about the starter???

starter has always been cranking, it just won’t crank if i connect the wires going to the coil in a diff way, but i don’t think it’s in the wiring either because i get readings when i hook the positive on the bat to the negative of the coil,
and i also get a reading when i hook the positive of the coil to the chassis ground
