As some of you may know, I’m in the process of converting my s14 from auto to manual. heres my questions:
I found someone selling a ecu from a 96’ w/ abs and OBDII. my car is a 97’ w/ abs and is also OBDII(obviously). Will the 96’ ecu be compatiable with my car???

Yup heck if you want you can still run the Auto box and loose your Rev limiter lol.
Yeah I would keep the auto ECU. You shouldn’t need to buy a new one.
My Auto ECU ran a program while stopping, it would increase the RPM above 1500 then drop to idle. Very annoying, but I don’t know if this is true for S14’s.
