I have done it, s14 diff and subframe, bushings were custom made, exhaust hits the diff ( may or may not be associated with the swapped parts) and I had to run s13 rucas to clear my coils, probably not worth the effort, only advantage I see is the bushings mounting the diff
the s14 subframe is better for some technical reason. I don’t remember the specifics, but you get better traction, because the s14 subframe has a better angle in regards to the differential or something …
SPL, sells solid subframe bushings, that are drilled, so that a s14 subframe slides run onto a s13. Otherwise the studs are like 1/4- 1/2 inch off.
The s14 subframe is newer, slightly stronger, designed for better nhv with the diff bushings but you’d wana get the aluminum for racing… and it has less anti-squat unlike the s13. In a nutshell it makes an s chassis drive like other cars not like a dorifto can’t grip for shit life.
Can’t wait to swap it myself… i do have a MINT s13 subframe in… but need to find an s14 one now.
Everyone’s who done it and races their car could tell the difference of how much better the car performs… so ya…
Also with the spl conversion bushings you can raise the subframe which will correct roll center for ‘free’ Another big advantage. I have the old gen spl s13 subframe bushings and they didn’t have that.
