hmmmm. interesting. I dont have a subframe in the 180 shell i bought so this might be something to do.
I just did a JDM S14 subframe. It slides in without too much trouble even though the 5mm difference on either side (total 10mm difference in width) The Ebrake cables i used were from the s14 subframe were not direct bolt on. I had to make adapter brackets. You could probably just use your s13 brakes. Also the lower strut mount was female instead of male using a bolt instead of a nut. The front major mount uses a plate on the s13 that the s14 does not fit. Some grinding away at the subframe should fit this bracket properly. Getting exhaust hangers made is not much trouble just coat hanger it to a shop and the mounts can just be relocated. The differential is the same but the differential cover is different. hope this helps.

id say just take the time to find a clean S13 subframe, clean it, brace it, paint it, swap bushings and install…
ive literally thrown away the 4 s14 subframes ive had… i think i made a boo boo
