Sansone's 240sx Coupe Thread

First off, if you don’t like things I’ve done here… Fuck off I don’t care. Helpful input is good. Whining about my choices gets annoying and I obviously chose the stuff I put on my car because it’s MY car.

Second “Dude the Lexus!?! BROOOO!! NO!!” It was sold for a good price and it’s in NYC now with a good owner.

Now that my rant is over…

Back in June I picked up a 1992 240sx coupe with a red top out of Erie, PA. Zero rust, 2 little dings and basic bolt ons. A little fade but whatever.

The car had :
-Red top SR20det with 50k on it
-Shitty Ground Control sleeves
-Buddy Club turbo back
-Fn01rc’s 17x8/17x9
-Fmic kit
-Hks SSQV
-Tomei Manifold

First little project was to make a quick boost/wideband gauge bezel for the center vent:

Used some junk gauges I had to mock up the holes etc…

Then I picked up some AEM boost and wideband gauges from Swerve:

While at Swerve I grabbed a set of new tires, BC Racing Coilovers, Hallman Pro Mbc and a set of lug nuts.

Took this garbage out

Then I grabbed 20mm of spacers all around with Ichiba extended studs

On the coilovers/spacers/studs with 215/40’s all around for a mild stretch

Niteshaded the tails and side markers

The car ran like ass and turned out to have a fuel pump from a ka in it. Tossed a Walbro 255 in her and fixed that problem

Factory auto seat belts were slow. Tossed in some Sparco harnesses

Buffed out a lot of that fade

NFG Car meet

Went a little lower with her

Welded a Apexi N1 muffler on it to quiet it down from the Buddy Club straight pipe lol. Sick of weekly exhaust tickets

New wheels. Diamond Racing 16x10’s. 0/-12 offset. Polished lips with raw centers

That’s it for now. I’ve been sliding around and hope to hit up events next season with it. I also grabbed a new uncracked dash. That’ll go in later this week.

Please don’t run those back breaking belts. You’re just asking for a compressed spine if you get into an accident with those, the way they are installed. Otherwise, looks clean.

Thanks guys! Yeah the seats are going. They’re old, torn and stained anyway. As for the the BC coilovers… Yes I switched over to the BC’s. They are actually really nice. The adjustments are awesome on them and they ride great. The GC’s and Konis were loose and rattled. The shocks were bottomed out and blown too.

As for the wheels, the Diamonds are a decent set up for an aggressive 4 lug set up. 4x114.3 is tough to get an aggressive fitment and i’m holding off on 5 lug for now. The Diamonds are heavy but they ride good I guess.

Overall, it’s a car I use to slide around but I want it to stick out from the other rotted primered 240’s as well. This thread is basically a clean up thread. Also no body kits or over fenders will be added to the car. Keeping it factory body!

not really feelin the wheels but looks like a clean car, what kind of diff u got in that thing? if its got a vlsd and u plan on drifting u better look into a 1.5 way or a welded.
