My first 240sx

so for a while i was really determined to have the first “stanced out” (or whatever) 3000gt vr4. i ran into so many fitment problems, exhaust issues, not being able to run staggered setups realistically, and overall i just came to the conclusion that it’s a twin turbo sports car for a reason, i wanna be able to drive it and not worry about scraping or anything like that. so i sold my coilovers, currently selling the wheels and returned it to stock.

i bought my first 240sx this past weekend, a 1991 hatch, blacktop SR mildly built up, bc coilovers, z32 5lug/brake/rear end swap and a ton of parts (i’d post the whole list up that was in the ad from zilvia but he took it down. i’ll get a full list up eventually). she’s in sleeper mode right now but i’m really impressed with how quick this thing is on stock boost. i’ve loved the 240’s since i first really got into jap cars when i was 15, and i’ve always wanted to get into drifting, so i think i have the perfect setup for that and some road course stuff as well. i need help finding some local spots though to practice, i understand the concept and how to actually do it, i just need seat time and some pointers and i’ll be set.

anyways, this is in the project section for a reason, here’s some of my goals for the car over this coming winter into the spring:

180sx type x all around (will probably repaint the whole car)
bolt in (4 point) roll bar
recaro’s
some decent wheels (i’d kill for some advan model 5’s but i doubt i’ll be able to afford em for a while haha)
possibly a 1.5lsd?
suggestions?

i’m gonna leave the motor the way it is now, it pulls pretty hard and runs so nice, i’m not gonna bother with it. here’s what i have to start with, i’m hoping to get it out at next months LVD event and make an ass out of myself haha

thanks everyone! where do the 240 guys on here order parts from? my header cracked yesterday on a mild 40 minute cruise… not driving hard at all :banghead so much for seat time lol i need new gaskets and whatnot for when i have my header welded.

i’m selling a set of 18x9.5 +15 varrstoens with 225/40 tires (2 good, 2 not so hot). if they don’t sell i’m gonna try running them on the 240 :ponder

i think i’m gonna run them out back because i can get em to tuck. i think they’ll poke wayyy too far for up front, so i might run my 2 racing harts up front
