Just read about this car this afternoon while valvoline was fucking me in the ass. It just jumped to the top of the list for a replacement ride for the wife.

Its a nice car, i’ve been in the Opel version a couple times and as long as GM didnt screw it all up over here i’d recommend one.
I think they look great as a 3 door… the unfortunate problem is the rabbit is a much better car and value in this market segment.

I seriously do have a hard on for the rabbit… ~ $15k, 160hp,177torque, heated seats,climate control,cruise, bunch more options AND fun to drive…
+$400 in mods to make it corner like a GTI which as we all know killed the new wrx stock vs. stock…
pretty hard to beat imo.
oh yeah, and they look sick as hell with some phaeton 19" rims.
I agree the new astra looks pretty baddass. give it the Turbo ecotek motor out of the cobalt and we have a good fight for turbo hatches…
but of course it comes with a 138HP 1.8.
my 01 focus 3door came with 148HP. 8 years ago…:hang:
give it a year or so after GM reviews the sales numbers and real world feedback on the car to see how many people asked for a turbo version (and didnt buy one now) and im sure a redline will be on the streets
The same car has been on sale in Europe for a few years now.
The rabbit is nice, Ill have to see what the deals are like when it comes time to turn in the monte. Im afraid I will be giving up to many incentives if I move away from GM, not only that I would have to wait another 6 months to get the rabbit because I wouldnt be able to pull ahead.
