Looks good

Nice Evo… and if you ever want to sell that Pioneer in dash dvd/navi kit let me know

Needs moar/new wheels.

How do you like it so far?

im loving every bit of it except the gas mileage and the turning radius

i hear so many people say “blah blah blah, its an evo its not meant for gas mileage blah blah blah” but the fact is that its a 2.0L motor and 20mpg is unacceptable to me

thats why my next mods will have to do with improving fuel efficiency as well as power at the same time

---------- Post added at 08:16 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:16 AM ----------

i will be the first to admit the wheels arent the prettiest, but for a 17 they are pretty damn light and im sure as hell not going to add weight just for “looks”

Lol unless your racing it, I don’t think you’ll notice the weight difference.

What kinda stuff can be done for fuel mileage?

i think it looks awesome - wheels arent that bad i like em

Looks good, and I actually like the wheels. 20mpg is pretty low, I’d be interested in hearing if you do find a way to remedy that.

Very nice car I would of killed for a GG when I bought my evo but just couldn’t find what I was lookin for so I got a LY insted. Like the mods and what not. Who tuned it.And dump that thing lol wheels will look fine with a good drop.

well i do plan to actively autocross it this year, and i actually have 2 sets of these wheels lol, one set came on the car with re01r’s that i will be using for summer and i bought the current set used with winter wheels for $400 lol

plans for fuel economy are
speed density
id/fic 1000cc injectors
test pipe
better air filter along with the speed density conversion (means selling my Monster Sport intake setup)
TUNE which i feel is the biggest thing
lightweight driveshaft
reduce as much unsprung mass as possible

i forgot to mention it also has cosworth cams

car must have a shitty tune. shit even my car as it sits get almost 30mpg cruising around, putting your foot down however… is a different story.

the tune makes or breaks everything

Yeah it def comes down to the tune and how you driving habits.

I get 22ish mixed highway/city. And most of the time I’m out of boost. But before I bought an Evo I knew mileage sucked for a 4cyl. But third retune soon.

^paul u ain’t gettin 30 hahaha yea 18-24 if ur not spoolin.

I believe it, I knew a guy who did alot of highway driving with his fully built Evo and was getting up to 36mpg.

i wish i could get 36mpg, im sure my cams don’t help any and it was tuned by IVEY, but who knows… it will definetely be retuned with speed density and the other mods above in the spring

my daily commute is 20 miles to work and 20 miles back… mostly 45mph but alot of lights inbetween

Oh yeah that stop and go, traffic will get ya. IVEY is a good tune shop out of NJ, but if it were a email tune maybe it wasn’t complete.

ya when i go long highway trips i get around 24mpg, id still like to get more but its nearly impossible with an instant spooling turbo

probably helps that i dont see my max power till 5500 LOL

i can almost bet that does, today i filled up and got 18.7mpg

i was going to go with a bigger turbo just for the fact that the slower spool will help with fuel economy and not to mention the side effect of more power
