School Me v. Audi CVT and DSP transmissions

So the BMW 5 series got swiped from me the day before I went to look at it so I have moved to a A4 Avant. The spec sheet on the dealers website says it has the Auto with DSP. I have read numerous stories about the CVT being awful and costly in the audis. Is there any issues or problems with the DSP Auto? I haven’t found any in search, was just wondering if anybody had first hand problems. For ref. the car is a 02’ Audi A4 Avant

edit everything ican find shows all Auto’s in the B6 A4’s were CVT. But the listing shows it as "5-speed automatic transmission w/OD-inc: “Tiptronic” gear selector, dynamic shift programming (DSP)’’

sometimes unreliable, always miserable…

Miserable because its a boring auto? Or are there bigger issues? lol

better reliability than the CVTs but underpowered to begin with, so much worse with the auto. Personally I wouldn’t touch any 4cyl. turbo audi until the FSI motors in 06

Not so much worried about underpowered as 1 of my other cars is a 09’ 300 with a 2.7 in it, you want to talk underpowered that’s it. lol
