cool…ready to race
Excellent Nick, you’ll have to post up some pics when you get a chance.
Wow… that is pretty expensive… I would have bought a used R6 or something. My friends dad bought a china scooter for his wife for $600 bran new… for $600 id rock it.
lol
Yeah, I contemplated a lot of other options, but the SR50R came out on top. I figure the SR50R is a step up from my SR20’s…
As far the the sport bike option, my driving record made insurance extremely expensive. Also, I don’t think I could control myself on a sport bike [speed wise].
I also don’t care too much for Asian crap… ![]()
The Aprilia also will depreciate less than all the other scooters.
Spec wise the thing is pretty cool. Ive been getting crap about this from everyone except a lot of sport bike riders. The Aprilia name is worth something, but even without the name it pretty cool [imo]. Its on 49cc, but its water-cooled, computer-controlled direct fuel-injected, front and rear disc brakes with dual piston calipers, and some other stuff.
For what I wanted/needed, I think its perfect.
stuntin yet?
some asshole rode a scooter into work in leathers…lol… i hope it wasn’t you
I was just checking your scooter out. Pretty nice setup. I have had SO much more fun on mine than both rockets that I have owned. I too have a problem with controlling myself on a sport bike. What area are you from? Could you drive it in to Pittsburgh? Checkout scootdawg.com
Scooter inventory’s (chinese atleast) are being purchased faster than they can make them; its just a matter of time until the price starts rising on them.
I do get a lot of shit for wearing a jacket. But, whatever, skin graphs aren’t cheap.
Not yet…
but someday… ![]()
i really want to do this:
how fast does yours go stock? im getting tired of going 15mph up hills.
Beep beep

Up big hills it goes about 25, flat I can do about 45-50, down hills 50-55. Its still ECU restricted, and it may have a restrictor ring on the variator [some of the 09’s do some dont].
People Ive talked to see relatively large gains from just a pipe and some CVT tuning.
