he’s been on a roll today
:owned:
but really jay, all im asking for was what style and color that people like the most out of those pics, :gives: if i put them in a fuckin 1978 honda civic or a 2003 mustang cobra??? so if your going to call someone a ricer for asking other peoples opinions on what style and color they like out of the above pictures then yes sight n sound is right… STFU
NOW, why dont we get this post back on topic and hear an honest answer from blue on which out of the above seats he likes the most REGARDLESS IF THEY GO IN THE CAR OR NOT! :blanyer:
who cares what the hell he does with the seats:rolleyes:
for all we know, they could be for a Desk chair…
srt rear seats and the 1st 1;s front
I like the SRT-4 seats personally… Especially with the fact that they will bolt directly in to the stock location.
If you got a different racing seat, could you take the brackets off the bottom of your stock seats and mount that to the bottom of the racing seat, allowing it to have a stock fit?
I bought a pair of buckets off of Brian from a 2002 Camaro, swapped the brackets on the bottom out and they fit in like charm, are plenty comfortable, and are much better on my back and holding my in my seat as compared to my stock blazer seats…
Then again, I dont plan on taking my truck auto-xing, I just wanted a more comfortable, better looking seat for a truck that I plan on doing quite a bit of work to.
And I’ve learned in the short time that I’ve been here that arguing with Blue is fucking worthless. Everything, in his own jaded mind and thru his rose color glasses, is worse than the Cobra which I’m plenty sure is bullllllllllshit. Just ignore him and get some seats that YOU like, fuck everybody else.
everyone is entitled to their opinion… its just blue dwells on it. but enuff of that,
i would personally like to get the srt4 front and rears, trying to find the set for around 200 bucks is hard as hell, i sure as hell am not spending 650 bucks for front and rear srt4 seats on neons.org… if i were to ever spend 650 bucks it wouldnt be on seats trust me
i vote for coltyhans milk crates
SRT seats bolt right in?
isn’t there a generation difference?
I’m a V8 owner and I have just a couple 'o power mods (headers that aren’t even on right now cuz of Cali-Nazi-Smog, lid, home-ported MAF, SLP Resonator, HPPIII & 160* Tstat) and an extensive list of suspension mods (see a partial list here: http://www.pittspeed.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12477 a little past half-way down). My car will only run just about stock 1/4 times but I want race seats and have a 6-point Rollbar (which I am nowhere near needing according to the NHRA) so am I Ricer everybody? I AutoX regularly and will be hitting open track days this year. Stock 4th Gen. Camaro seats suck… period. Lots of Camaro guys put the TA seats w/ the expanding side-bolsters in as a comfy but much better upgrade. But anything w/ GM leather sucks anyway. For AutoX I need something with more lateral support bottom line. Right now I can’t spend $1000-2000 on the seats I want so I’m considering spending about $500 on a set to just get me through about a year or so 'till I put better ones in.
Anyway… Shelby I like the 1st ones. However, in your car I’d go w/ the SRT-4 seats since they bolt in nice 'n easy and look pretty factory. Now prove all these fucks wrong and go AutoX the shit out of that G-on. With some suspension work and some R-compound that thing could be fun. Screw the turbo 2.4. It’s not going to be a drag-racer. If you already have the 2.4 in there or have the parts just put it in and leave it NA. Spend your $ on suspension.

you my friend, are an idiot. my cobra is far from bullshit, to many people have seen the thing run down the track
and yes, racing seats in a car that wont see any competition is ricey. IMO. dont want my opinion, dont read my post, its that simple.
Big wings, stupid looking rims, roll cages, harnesses, and racing seats in cars that will not compete are RICE. the end
If you don’t compete in some form of automotive competition(whether it be autocross, road racing, or drag racing), yet have a roll cage, and racing seats with harnesses, you are a ricer, trying to look to be fast.
I do not compare my cobra to everything else, but appearantly SOME of you people seem to get so jealous to a point, you have to point out what I do own, over and over.
Noe my point was made, against shelby since he is the bench racer extraodinaire, ever since I’ve known him. With his daytona that runs 14.8 yet has never seen a track. Or his old bone stock Neon ACR, that beats 1999 Mustang GT’s(which can run a 13.8-14.1 bone stock) in a straight line.
Do I think my Cobra is the best car ever made? Nope, but it sure is one helluva bang for buck. So stop youre old ass arguement, because its MAINLY coming from people with beat ass cars, who my comments are not directed to in the first place, but yet take on some notion that I am mocking them in some shape or form. Anyway, in my definition of you being a ricer, and the old PSR/Pittspeed definitions.
If you have a Roll Cage, 5pt Harnesses, Racing Seats, Fire Extinguishers, Yet do not need one, or you do not compete in any form of competition. Yes, you are a ricer!
You have an overdone Body kit, and Wing(that provides ZERO downforce for your competitions)… You are a ricer!!
This is pittspeed, not Pitt bling bling, look at my 17 second civic with its spinners and overdone body kit, with racing harnsesses
yes…and no.
i put Protege AWD seats in my 323 because I spend 40k miles a year in my car and about 3/4 of those miles are from delivering (i.e. running the Nurburgring in my deluded psyche). The 323 only had 88hp, and never saw a track, but they still helped out a thousand fold. is that rice?
i think buying a racing seat you haven’t sat in is rice.
There is a difference between one stock seat from one car, to your car, and buying a full all out racing bucket.
well, i would have bought recaros if i had the money…
'cause theys niiiiice.
I agree… a racing seat, harnesses and a bar in a car that doesn’t see competiton is rice. Unless you’re like Shaler and drive the car all the time and get greatly improved comfort from the seats you choose (but obviously just the seat is excused, no harnesses or bars). Or, like myself, your stock seat’s leather is falling apart and you’re rather spend the $ to replace it w/ a race seat than another stock POS (though I do AutoX, but even if I didn’t I doubt I’d waste a penny on another GM seat w/ their “leather”).
And hasn’t Shelby only ownded the G-on for a few months while it’s been snowing and there’s been no events? Once a couple AutoXs come and go and he hasn’t competed you call can bring this thread back up and call him a Ricer douche-bag all day long. Of course if he mans-up and hits the AutoX then it’s another story.

in the 4 years ive known him… ive yet to see him at a track, and he’s owned a Neon ACR before this one
Point taken.
