sell it or keep it?

ahhh now that i kno the full details of what went into my motor and how much its gonna cost, im thinking about throwing in the shift kit and having some1 tune it (Mike? Inoovative? can ya do it??) and keeping and owrrying about a winter beater and/or buying snow tires when it starts snowing. i really would like a Ram 2500 Cummin Turbo Diesel cuz i could make that somewhat quick and at the same time i could take it mudding and drive it all year…fuck i need to win the lottery!!!

Bow to the smoky deisel god. He will bless you with gobs of torque

I say keep the r/t, we still need to run damnit

Either keep the R/T, or buy an Audi like you planned

keep the rt, its too nice to get rid of and now you know exactly what youve got.

diesel > all.

except hondas

I’d say keep the R/T because how rare it is.By the time ya get new rims and tires and such,Just buy like a $1k winter car( 97 cav, civic, etc). From kind of catching your posts from before, sounds like you really like your truck.
D

keep it

KEEP IT

Don’t buy an audi, you’ll regret that one unless you want an expensive car to fix that isn’t as realiable as it should be :gotme:

Minus a few years and models

Sell it, get a car. I had a truck once when I didn’t need a truck but just wanted one and didn’t have a ton of discretionary income to cover all the gas. I pissed away a ton of money on gas. Then I realized that I pretty much just drive by myself most of the time. I had absolutely no reason to own a truck. I used the bed maybe twice a year moving to/from school. I didn’t tow anything. I sold it and never looked back. My only regret is having ever bought a pickup in the first place “just because.” It made no sense and wasted a lot of money.

preech

i am really biased, but diesel all the way. the cummins is the best choice out of all of the domestic diesel light trucks. i was talking to a guy who deals exclusively with diesel pickups and he said the cummins is the best. very tunable and 500,000 miles is not uncommon. also a straight vegetable oil conversion is really simple with all of that room in the bed for a second tank.

Only issue I have ever had with dodge diesels, my buddy( and my boss) has a 95 Cummins 3500 dualie. and the transmission has gone on it 4 seperate times.

Just a fairwarning

buy a cummins diesel and put an alison tranny in it

go diesel, its worth it for the smell alone

the manual transmissions are tough

cummins makes a good motor, dodge makes a shitty truck. Rust anyone?

Step 1.) Get out of debt

Step 2.) Get through school

Step 3.) Benefit from steps 1&2 for the next 40-60 years.

-or-

Step 1.) Keep the R/t and/or get a 2500 Diesel

Step 2.) Spend the next 4 years scrounging up gas money because You are paying $600 / month (insurance & note) to a vehicle that You will not get full usage out of (what do You need to daily drive a 3/4 ton truck for?) on part time money while being a full time student.

Step 3.) Graduate school with a fair bit of educational debt & HOPEFULLY get a decent job (assuming You’re staying local)

Step 4.) When the decent jobs aren’t beating a path to Your door, Live in said truck.

Worddddddd… couldn’t have said it any better.
