HAHAH yeah, dont worry I am replacing it, going to pick up all new hoses today…that was one hose i figured i should do i dident realize till i took the picture that it was on there, I thought i cut all the hoses off

Nothing really new, put the motor on the hoist…

Got the belts on, everything is pretty much on so I can drop it in… just gotta clean the engine bay…

THe distributor cap screw snapped off so my dad is drilling those out as we speak while im in class…

This weekend I wanna try and get the motor in…

if I can get everything i need i want to at least run a test fire for a few mins… but its all just little washers/specialty bolts if you will that I need…

Im waiting on an 02 bung because the ones in these manifolds have screw in bungs for the 2 differnt sizes of 02 sensors…

Got the oil pan on too, waiting for the RTV to dry up a bit before i final tighten the bolts…

Oh and I lost the 1/16th to 1/8th adapter fitting for my aftermarket oil pressure gauge, thats what happens when other people beside you decide to clean… so anyone know if advanced carries them?

nice, for the bung you can get one at napa, for the fitting, i’m sure napa will take care of you for that too.

Its not a welded bung, its a screw in bung adapter if you will, called and they dident have it, a friend from vermont is sending me one

Umm so yeah, after a few henikens i got myself motivated and decided to give throwing the engine in myself a shot…

Dident think it was going to go in as easy as it did considering i dident take the transmission out, but it took me about 45 minutes, 10 or so of that was adjusting the crane after realizing that the arms wasnt long enough.

Now I just gotta bolt the tranny/starter back up, finishing hooking up the harness, bolt the turbo and oil return/feed lines… a few hoses, fill her up , and give her a test fire…

Fucking dirty as fuck. Pull that shit out, and il simple green it.

So thanks to Adam I got crush washers for the oil feed line for the turbo. Can’t belive finding crushwashers was that fucking difficult.

Tonight I’m going to get under the car bolt up the transmission and starter. Finish tidying up the upper harness (nissan made a complete mess of it when they did my recall) Make some injector retaining clips out of paper clips cause those are impossible to find. Pretty much get it setup to start as soon as I get my intake manifold back and it filled up with fluids.

Then tommorow I’m going to modify my stock dash cluster for the aftermarket gauges and get the wires run and ready to go.

At 12am last night I got motivated and said I need to get these damn gauges mounted in the pod… So last night I borrowed petes dremel and went to work. It’s not perfect but itll do for now

was that the part that held the compass thing and that other guage? in the center of the dash?

No compass on my model… only the 84-86 digitals came with those gay things…

So I got her running tonight at 11:30…

Had some issues at first, I had the CAS plugged into the wrong plug :rofl

so then we got spark and fuel then it became a timing issue.

Finaly she got running, but like a bag of shit due to the lack of idle control valve and it being 20 degrees out.

So tommorow when i get hoem from work were going to get the timing set good, im going to tidy up all the flailing wires start her up, get her running and warm, keep checking for leaks… check some more for leaks and then take her for a test drive

Depends, I need to set the idle a bit high now because of the cams… AS long as the motor is warmed up it shouldent stall, it will be a cocksucker when its cold thou…

I guess itll keep me from beating on it before its warmed up haha…

But not it shouldent stall under deaccel
