It takes a bit to settle in and for your body to fully realize it’s now using fats for energy. This is why I hesitate on CKD…that carbup throws your body into a spin and resets you. Though after weekend carb ups I would be back in ketosis by having 1 good workout.
That keto “fog” is really annoying and sucks tho.

I believe, the first 2 weeks you’re supposed to take in higher fat foods, to get your body accumulated to a low carb diet, and then after your body starts to get used to it, then you cut the fat down to about 70grams per day, and carbs down to 30-50g per day
i’ve been cutting carbs, so ill deal with the lack of energy and just go straight to the 70/30 diet form
What you’re supposed to do is figure out your lean mass weight… in Kg (to get kg, divide your lbs by 2.2)
I’ll do this for me, and you can figure out the formula for yourself
Lean mass weight (kg)x2.75= daily protein requirement
my mass is 84.1kg x .15(body fat %)= 12.61kg (this is my weight in body fat)
So your lean mass weight is your total weight minus your weight in BF
So 84.1kg-12.61kg = 71.49 lean mass weight
71.49Kg lean mass weight x 2.75 = Grams of protein you SHOULD be taking in. mine = 196.6 per day
I Have no clue how the fuck im supposed to get almost 200grams of protein per day, but im working on it lol
You should:
5000milligrams of creatine per day
5000 miligrams of L-Glu –
2scoops protein powder (Based on 20g scoop) Per shake (NO CARBS IN SHAKE)
Fish oil capsules – 2 a day
420mg of magnesium Per day
1800mg of calcium per day
As far as recipes go:
Protein Pancakes
25ml of heavy cream
1 egg
2 teaspoon splenda
20g of soy protein isolate
Will make about 3 o.k sized pancakes… 2.3g Of Carbs
(Good for breakfast, or whatever)
Beef Stew-
minced beef
soup vegatables (greens, few carrots if carrots are a must)
water
Directions: Cook in pot, throw beef in pot with hot water, cook it til it boils, add vegies then… let cool down. Add a cracker if you must lol… but only 1!!
This really depends on how much ingredients u use, but it should be under 5g of Carbs
Pizza yo!!
Low Carb tortilla under 4g (or u can do crustless dough)
pizza sauce
cut up chicken
35g of mozz cheese
paprilea (sp?)
basil
Should be under 5g total, (dependent on wrap used)
Throw in zee oven for 15min at 350*
Tortilla wraps

35g mozz cheese
taco sauce
lettuce
(again, carbs depend on the shell used)
Hamburger siqqq!!!
Minced beef patty cooked in a pan
LOW CARB ketchup
REAL mayo (miracle whip has MORE carbs)
piece of lettuce, iceburg will give it a crunch obv, or used sliced lettuce or w/e
Use small tortilla’s for the “buns”
Should be under 6g of carbs

Oh yeah, when you hit a plateau where you are no longer losing body fat, you’re supposed to switch to a high fat (like 150g of fat per day), but still low carb diet for about 2-3 days(30 carbs still), and then get back with the reg 30c/70f again. Protein intake remains constant
On my “carb up” days, im actually choosing 2 (fri , sat… only dinner) because i enjoy a sub and pizza on the weekend. But after i eat it’s going to be followed with rigorous HIIT cardio and weight lifting lol

It will almost be impossible for me to stay below 30g of carbs on days during lunches when im @ work. I guess if i take in 4g @ breakfast and dinner, i can cheat a little bit at lunch, as long as i stay under 50-60g. Afterall it’s only 2 days a week

Make sure you cook foods with soy protein, not whey protein. It drys up the food a lot

Nah, just cook it right. i’ve been eating it cold anyways. I normally marinate it in franks and cayenne pepper.
you’ve gotta get in the habit of bringing a lunch to work if you want your diet to be successful.
i do bring a lunch, but it’s usually a sandwich… with ham (bad) and bread (bad) (and other food stuff… mostly fruit) my lunch would pretty much fulfill my total carb requirement for the whole day lol

In honor of this thread I just had a few slices of roast pork loin wrapped in a big piece of lettuce with a slice of cheese and some mustard. It was delicious.

horrendous? I wouldnt say that. keep up on your water intake, ketones are mostly water soluble. otherwise you will give off a acetone smell (byproduct of oxidizing ketones).
