I Couldnt help myself and had a constanzos roll today at dinner lol
But im still under 40g of carbs for the day

I Made a taco, with a shell which was like 14 net carbs(for lunch), and then the roll was 25g :frowning: . dinner i had 2 chicken sausages

it’s pretty easy to do if you’re not used to eating large portions of food

Where can one pick up the piss strips? Are they specifically for ketosis?

I used these to monitor my ketones when I was doing the diet. They are cheap and work well. Plus you get to see 9 other basic urine tests.

Locally they are probably a rip off. The few types I bought local didn’t work as well and cost more. :frowning:

i added a TINY bit of bbq sauce on the chicken pieces and it was amazing

You can buy ketostix at a drug store. You might have to ask for them at the pharmacy counter but you don’t need a script for them.

im so excited for carbs, you have no idea.

I am just starting to take on a low-carb diet. I am not big on greens though. Anyone have any ideas for good side-dishes that aren’t just all veggies?

trust me, you want some veggies. otherwise, you’re gonna be all sorts of plugged up. unless you supplement fiber in, but thats up to you.

i eat a lot of nuts (nohomo), and cheese + pepperoni. peanut butter too, but watch your sugar intake on that.

I had the same problem. All I could eat was meat and nasty green shit that I didn’t like. It stopped working when I couldn’t think of any unique ways to eat just meat.

I did buy low-carb wraps that have a bunch of fiber in them…I was thinking I could do something with that…Maybe just melt some mozzarella cheese and garlic on it to have some sort of carb-friendly garlic bread.

I will probably eat at least 1 wrap a day. I might need to start taking some supplements. I do incorporate some lettuce with my meals, and a bunch of onions. I don’t think the onions help much though.

i dont even do that (wraps). I figure I take in enough carbs from various foods, and some veggies (which I really like) have a fair amount of carbs (ever look at corn or peas??)

yea, that was what i was getting at. something like 13 grams a serving.

wraps/tortillas have shit ton, more than bread in some cases. If you need a bread fix schwebels light wheat is like 10 net carbs per 2 slices. Other than that I have found 0 carb bagels on the internet before they tasted like wheat english muffins.

Anyway I have been making something that you guys may dig.

I get super thick bacon and a pork tenderloin. Just wrap a strip around a 1.5 - 2 inch thick piece of pork tenderloin and skewer it to stay closed. kosher salt, pepper and paprika both sides. Make sure its near room temp before you start cooking. get a hot pan, cast iron is best but get it mad hot either way. little canola oil in the pan cause olive will burn at high temps and sear both sides till they are brown then toss that son bitch in the oven till it is like 150 in the center. Wrap it with foil for like 15 minutes for residual cooking on the counter and eat. I think I am going to attempt it with a finishing butter next time but it is pretty good on its own.

Rob, low carb wraps have that I get at Costco are 6 net carbs for the whole wrap…not bad.

I make a good wilted spinach salad too that goes well with just about any meal but you have to watch that because spinach cooks down so damn much you can easily eat a lot of it and take in a good about of carbs.

Its pretty much bacon fat with a little red wine vinegar, dijon mustard and some diced onions. Its almost like a quick collard green.

Now I’m back on it. I didn’t read the thread, but look at the atkins website. There’s some killer recipies on there.

I’ve been having 2 tacos usually at lunch time

Each wrap has 12 carbs, the beef has 20carbs, i dont think the cheese has any either. Lunch time is the only time of the day where i actually take in carbs. Dinner is usually less than 20. So im still under 60, just trying to find a way to get under 45 no matter what

Of course my protein shakes have carbs in them because of the milk, but i use 2% so it kind of helps the diet in relation to fat. So i dont really “count” as a carb

I’ve just been eating like 5 egg whites and 1yolk at breakfast, and some type of fruit. (I know the fruit has carbs, but i need something to jumpstart)

And yea… I havent really been shitting lol. Well i have, but no “good ones” since starting the diet
