One of my gaming forums has the Donate button, but also has a header that states “Top Ten Contributor” Make it a competition. With all the Sallys on here, shit will be paid for.
that will turn into a dick stretchin contest . shit shift would be paid for in 2 days for the rest of lifetime
Don’t see a problem?
Donation givers get super rep power including anonymous neg rep worth 100 points each. Once you are 500pts in the hole, Vbulletin wont let you submit your post until it passes spell check. Racsisterpumpkinhumper wont know what hit him.
Yeah man, we’ve got a huge capacity. We host some seriously intensive internet companies already.
then im fucked to man :lol
I’m gonna buy out the domain name and site and turn it into a fat chick porn page. You can thank me later.
Fixed. First one’s free.
:rofl
:rofl Got 'Em
“Everybody gets one.” Spider-Man Family Guy ftw. But seriously, would be down to donate.
:thumbup
Definitely would donate.
If rspeed takes ownership please delete my account
Why not require people to make a donation to access the Classifieds? Keep the board free for those that are really only browsing, keeps the sketchy sellers out of the classifieds, and generates some upkeep money. The donation would only have to be $10 or so, maybe make it a yearly ‘subscription’ to prevent the die out of funds.
Another idea is why not make every user donate $1 once a year to view the forums. If anyone bitches about $1 then we don’t want them on the forums anyway, since you can find that by searching your laundry and couches. If even half the members pay the $1 a year it’ll greatly help the upkeep of the site.
I have donated and will donate again without question.
THIS IS NOT ABOUT OWNERSHIP :facepalm

Hosting does not equal owning. Hosting is storing files, thats it.
Singh you want to come in here and explain why you’ve started the drama? Why you have a problem with a cheap, reliable, affordable hosting? Why you want to quit if Technoic Media hosts Shift? Why is there no paypal button still?
To help clarify this to people who are unaware of the details of hosting and what cost go into it:
Every website needs a place to “host” Basically all the files, data, communication that happens within a website needs to be stored. The more active a website is the more “hosting” it needs, including a larger pipe (basically an internet connection that won’t bog under load) and that can be $$. Secondly the server needs to have the right hardware/software to deal with huge amounts of data (pictures, videos, code). Both the hardware and software needs to be maintained and THAT is the biggest expense. If there weren’t people like Singh that were willing to administer the server/website, Shift wouldn’t exist.
Man if sperm was money, I would have already donaited enough to host all of the internets
