Many of you guys don’t even know who I am, and many of you knew me from way back in the past. It seems though that no one can get over things that happened in the past. So here I am, if you have a problem, please let it be known.

I’ll start with a little about myself, and what I’m sure everyone wants to know about…

Back in the day we started rspeed as local club to the capital area. We were all young and stupid, myself included, so naturally there was a lot of drama. Somehow along the way I got the bright idea that rspeed should be just a forum and news blog-type site where people could pay a fee to get some tshirts,stickers, etc and to help run the site. Was that a failed business model? Absolutely. Did I make some mistakes with some of the things that I did personally on there? You bet.

Things have changed… It’s been over 3 years since most of that happened, and I for one, have grown up and stopped caring about most of the pointless shit that happens on the internet (JClark gives a great seminar on this). If what you guys need is an apology, then I am truly sorry. I’m way to busy these days with businesses and kids to worry about such things anymore. I used to be good friends with many of you guys on here who are still holding dear to a grudge relating to internet sites.

Lets be serious here though… Regarding hosting the site, I offered Vlad a good deal on a VPS account to which he could basically run it himself. I do not want to become an admin on here, nor do I really want any responsibilities for the site. I’m here as a paying sponsor so I can offer you guys some good deals on stickers and firearms.

Not sure what else to say, but I hope this clears some of the things up for you all. Please feel free to comment if you have any questions.

Now onto to some more about me :slight_smile:

Currently working on two 240sx projects, both with SR20’s. One is a street car with a complete rebuild, shooting for about 500whp. The other is a fully built race car w/ 2.35L SR20, being prepped for time attack/drift events. That will have closer to 700whp. I’m hoping the street car will be done in august.

I currently own technotic media (websites/graphic design/video/photography, ihatestickers, allstar graphics), true negative (hosting and IT solutions), and Allstar Tactical (retail firearms shop and ar15 products manufacturers). These, along with my kids, keep me extremely busy…almost too much.

Anyways, hope this clears up some things for you.

Why’s that? Clearly there were problems with the current way that it is hosted.

Ya know hosting is just where the magical internet fairies keep the site, it doesnt have to do with running the forum.

Because he’s a friend (outside of the forum) and I’m willing to help him resolve those problems, and I would not even take issue with him making a few bucks if need be to maintain the site. It’s nothing personal with you.

Fair enough. The way you wrote it made it seem like it was personal. I would have no issues with Dave continuing to host the site. Frankly, I was approached about hosting, not the other way around, as Dave is trying to make it seem.

Personally I don’t give a shit, as long as Shift stays the same doesnt bother me one bit

Aside from the InterWebz war… I’ve met you once before mike, last year when you brought your band aid 240 to the drift event, me and elliot were taking pics.

Anyways, seem like a cool guy… Your kids a beautiful, I have a 16 month old daughter. Sure is one hell of a trip :thumbup Really hoping to have a boy the next time around.

Yea a hosting site has nothing to do with running the site. All he does is store the information. Singh has told me that his hosting is overkill for what shift needs. Mike post pics of the old mythical WRX

i think it does need to change that way singh has more time to do what he does , and not get harrased when shift goes down once a month . yes i know what goes on a bit butttt either way something needs to change and sometimes it is for the better

I just want the site to stay up. Like the rest of you, I’m on here more than I should and it’s a great form of entertainment, to say the least. Also made some good friends from here. Yeah, in a perfect world I’d prefer to see Singh run it, and even make a dollar or two a month from it, but I’ll do my part to keep it active regardless.

well doin this isnt helpin any with all the posting and so on . i think vlad made his decision im not 100 percent on that but it may be what everyone needs , some may ot see it right away though . i mean every time shift goes down singh gets hoarded with i/m,s and shit about . he dont need it and so on
