I hate oil leaks, have to make sure the oil is topped off every time i take it out, i also seem to fool myself into thinking i need to check the compression every time the car takes a good beaten.i think thats about it…
I should probably start checking my oi level more often course I don’t have it out often
I know the feeling Ray. After every (street) race weekend with my brown Supra I’d check the compression regardless of how it was running. Never had a problem. I’ve checked the Vette twice in 3 weeks of ownership. Takes a good hour on the Vette though vs 15 min on the Supras.

Are you going on the drive, or are you concerned about serious engine damage that could occur with driving the car more then 20 minutes at a time? :giggedy

Ray seemed to get right to the point where he’d be hitting boost and blowing through 3 gears, but then he’d leisurely shift to the next gear. :sad

+1 on that… this is really the only reason I don’t let anyone drive my car. Back when I first got it I let my dad drive it a few times and he always moved the seat and mirrors :angry2 Hated that.
I’m not really too bad with the car, but when I get to cleaning it I tend to do everything (interior, exterior, etc.)
Oil changes are Mobil 1 full synthetic (what came in the car from the factory) and AC Delco filters. I go by the meter, any sooner is just wasting money.
