As our business continues to grow, sometimes there are growth spurts. We’ve just gone through another spurt over the last couple months. Despite working overtime we fell behind on messages in the last 2 weeks and I apologize. Getting near 3000 contacts a week made it impossible to get back to everyone, especially after Mary was no longer here helping with the phones full time.
Today marked the return of Jay who many of you know and love. He will be handling the phone and messages full time so we can get back to everyone in a timely fashion again. It’s probably going to take the rest of the week for him and I to get back to everyone as we currently have over 100 voice mail messages and 1000 emails from the last 2 weeks to get back to aside from all the ones we have responded to and those that continue coming in, but by next week we should be back up to speed!
To keep pace with our mechanical workload I’ve also added another full time mechanic and another SnapOn lift, so we now have three lifts, three full time mechanics, 2 part time mechanics, 1 full time office staff member, 1 part time office staff member, and myself here tuning cars most of the time and then helping out with office work. We’re also adding more shelving for parts, benches for work, lighting, etc.
We’re currently on track with scheduled labor and online orders, so after getting caught up on messages this week everything will be business as usual. In the meantime I appreciate everyone’s patience.
We also recently became a NepTune authorized tuner/dealer. NepTune is the premier OBD1 Honda/Acura tuning software for modded stock ECUs and while Crome Pro served us well for a number of years, it was time to make a change for a few reasons. The cars we tuned here with Crome Pro are all running well, but some cars could not be tuned with Crome Pro due to software limitations and bugs that presented themself once in a while. Since the person that made Crome has become less involved it has gone downhill and I’m already really enjoying dealing with JR and NepTune. The product works great, has some nice extra features like 2 step launch control the user can change on the fly without a computer, and their support is excellent.

I’m also happy to say that we built and installed over 20 Innovative Tuning engine packages over the last year, all of which are running strong. In addition to these larger builds we continue to perform small jobs on a regular basis such as suspension, exhaust, brake, and other installs/repairs.
