short hub WITH short qr?

alright well ive been looking around and i dont see ANY setups that give a short hub with a short quick release system.

NRG just came out with a quick release but a distributor told me its not compatible with the NRG short hub (which is really dumb), because they said its more of a universal problem because of the horn wiring and it sticks out because of the steering column or something?

anyone know any setups that work 100% together?

short hub and short quick release.

thanks!

which version??? i found this on honda-tech… its version 3.0 looks like the F.E.T quick release hub

Cut the momo hub short and re-welded it. Megan Q/R worked fine, horns functional. Im just missing the hub cover so i wrapped it with tape…and i still havnt gotten around to covering it a year later.

the guy who supplies the NRG stuff told me that the people who got it on honda-tech took out the middle white section of the QR and that NRG said its unsafe to do so since you will not have a horn.

i’m very interested in this setup but i’d like to hear more reviews of this actual problem/issue.

relocate your horn?

i dont think ive had an actual horn button in years.
its always on a momentary switch.

in that case, do you know off hand what colour wire the horn is? i need a horn for safety and dont feel like trying to get mine working properly with my hub and qr.

unfortunatly im colour blind so no idea.

however there are only 2 wires that run the horn its really not that hard to find.

ones already sticking out… ones under the steering column cover.

you just need a slim hub and a normal q/r to be the same distance as stock

^^

im gettn a nardi deep corn which has a 3.1" offset.

its gonna be closer to me 1-2" than a normal aftermarket steering wheel.

here’s the plug that has the wires for the horn… i just insert a wire on that plug and taped it up… just that wire and ground.
*take note of where the notch is on the plug
