I can’t seem to grasp how to remove the shifter, for the simple purpose of putting fluids in.

The worst part of all, is you were absolutely no help and your lack of experience really shows. You don’t have to remove those 6 bolts.

I actually used that guide earlier and found it useful it seems as though the plate naturally cured to the transmission , earlier i attempted to pry it with no luck. Tomorrow i’ll attempt with a mallet and if all else false i’ll just pour through the shifter
Shit, all you gotta do is unscrew those 4 allen key bolts. then remove the half crescent plates horizontally. Once that is done, the top plate should come out no problem along with the rest of the internals, there could possibly be a snapring in there somewhere.
