Lets say I have a 2001 cavalier that has been rotting away in the garage for a few years.
I needs some lovin to be road worthy. Tires, wheel bearings, ball joints, front Koni’s are shit, exhaust and some general clean up.
The wheel bearings and ball joints have been on the front seat NIP, for 3 years now.
It was always a dirt cheap and reliable car and I have toyed with the idea of using it as the daily driver vs driving my 12 mpg Envoy.
I have also entertained thoughts of rebuilding a turbo BDR5oh gave me back in ~2003 and/or putting the Zex kit on it just to
make it end of life it in a more dramatic fashion. It could be a sneaky little 15 second car
How much effort should go into a car that is at best what, $1,500-2,000 The speed holes really detract from the appearance.
So, should I list it, Love it, or list it after some TLC.
Constructive criticism is welcome, as is well executed sarcasm.
That was essentially my plan for this car.
It even has some neons under there to draw them in… :fagola:
Then i found out how ignorant I was about turbos (2001) and bought a motorcycle to get around on
while I was hunting up a new engine. Then I found out just how shitty and slow it would be AFTER I boosted it.
That sounds reasonable. I remember all too well when people thought Toyota cavaliers were cool.
This woudl be much better. Probably still only get $1,800 after the swap though.
ya i remember that car. and you really need to stop this habit its not good for you or the cars.
I say either throw it together and sell it or find some cheap backyard mechanic and get it to a nice shape and sell it.
take that money and use it to buy gas for the truck. you want something fuel efficient get a motorcycle it stores much easier.
