hi guys, just stumbled across the site. Figured i’d say hey- right now i’m rebuilding a totaled 04 cavalier. here’s a few pics
getting ready to load her up at the junk yard
motor pulled getting ready to go to our other garage to finish frame work (my dad’s dune buggy in the background)
new frame all welded
test fitting a few parts (no that is not the paint job i’m going with)
Welcome, can’t think of many people that would go that far for a J-body. Then again I have no room to talk as I’m doing the same to much more worthless car.
So let me get this straight. Instead of turning an economy car into a pile of junk, you started with a pile of junk, put a ton of work into it, and wind up with a pile of junk.
Good Plan. :roll2:
newman says hi…
welcome to the board!
haha by building a total, i save a ton of money- and can drive it for 2 years and still make money on the car…it does help is has only 272miles on it
eh. you’d make more if you didn’t cover it with all that stupid bullshit.
Yep, 272 miles. Then it hit a freakin wall, putting about 20g’s of stress on every component/joint/weld/connection on the car. Can you say rattletrap? Good luck trying to sell it in 2 years with that salvage title too.
Other than that, welcome to the board, you’ve got an ambitious project there.
I could be a clean title, i know a lot of people that make money off totaled cars
welcome to the board
i think its a rice-can
lol@newman, but im with him on this one, i dont know why u would wanna do that to a cavalier
but as always, welcome to the board, good to see so many new members, its fun to have ppl to pick on
