Wanted to see what makes these work. A guy from another forum made a delete out of parts from this. Pretty clever.

I figured out the spoiler
wow, going hardcore w/o a brake booster, i dont think i could handle that
looking nice besides that, do you have this build thread on h-t?
good way to start a new page…
have you ever driven w/o a booster? or known someone who has. or are you doing anything to help the mechanical leverage?
whats left to do? seems like you better slow down, winter isnt nearly over yet.
No power anything will suck… but besides that lol!
Is a Parachute considered mechanical?.. J/k
There’s a bunch to do still… The motor is only in for mock up of all the pluming. Still need to clay it and degree the cams. Id like to clean it up a little also. Not sure if I will spray it or not.
I have a few big trips coming up so I need to knock out as much as I can while I’m around. Starting to worry I might not make summer.
When’s the first meet this year? I need to set a goal.
quick question about the flaring of the brake line. are you flaring the “-3 an to bulk head” side of the line to a 37*? single? theres a pretty large thread on h-t about it and im getting lost. some are saying they had no problem double flaring.
i just ordered a few fitting and lines from summit myself
should do 37* flare for them, if you dont have access to one i have seen people use the tools from autozone etc with the 45* flare with success
I have both sets of flaring tools.
45* = SAE (Society Of Automotive Engineers)
37* = AN (Army Navy)
Here’s a thread full of info… Probably the one you were referring to.
There is also a real good youtube on how to double flare. I’ll look it up later, youtube is blocked where I work.
To answer your question I used 37* double flare on my bulk heads bc they are AN fittings.
that brake tuck looks really good man
i wish i had the time this winter to do it on my car
this looks awesome, but that lip is god awful. get a spoon rep if your going to rock a lip
Thanks, its not as perfect as I envisioned it but it should work. If I was short one tube nut I could have bleed the brakes and checked out the pedal feel
Think it would look any better if I color matched it? This bumper will get replaced eventually anyways. I got a little happy with the cut off wheel the first time around
i just hate that lip, painted or not. i even hate it in carbon fiber.
This > any other lip other then the factory lip
*my car is not black its just an unpainted bumper
i miss your car:(
Got the DP back from welding

sorry to keep bring up that brakes lines. im still stumped on what flaring tool to get since the ones on summitracing states it not ment for stainless steel lines ( which i bought fromt them) and how to go about double flaring 37* an fitting when its ment for a single 37* (which a single flare is not legal?)
btw i think it came out great
If you are going to convert over to AN fittings like I did you need the 37* tool. What I did was use the dies from the 45* kit to start the double flare then finished with the clamp from the 37* (the clamp is what gives you the sealing angle). I plan to bleed the brakes before I go any further with the interior of the car to see if there will be any leaks. I used SS line with no issues, well I split a few ends on my first couple attempts, it gets easier. As far as legal goes no shop is going to open up your system to check for double flares… you think? I’m no expert, this is my first time at it.
I single flared my fuel line with no problem.
SS from ATP for my WG dump tube

Got sick of having to borrow a truck every time I needed the car moved so I picked up this C2500.
Almost have the front end done
DP came out perfect
i like how you got almost the same color truck as your car lol
