Wow, looks great! Every detail
jesus u need some finger prints or something on the motor
looks good bud.
Good Job :headbang:
Thanks guys!
Its not easy keeping everything clean when you are dealing with never seize, lock tight, grease and freshly panted parts. There are imperfections they just don’t show up in the pictures! I just tell my self it’s a race car not a show car. Its starting to come together quick! Might get the half shaft and axles in tonight, then start running lines like the back lower oil vent lines and oil cooler lines while the head is still out of the way.
Still a lot to:
All electrical,
Finish the radiator mount,
Make a WG dump tube,
Clean all the head parts
Build the head
Mount the radiator
build a bracket for the oil cooler
please man, take off the felpro oil pan gasket, they always leak everytime. it will ruin your nice clean car lol
Wow, even if there are blemishes, that looks great man! Keep up the good work.
I was going to say how I saved a few bucks on gaskets and seals from NAPA but wanted to wait and see if they worked. That’s the first thing I noticed the oil pan gasket was bright blue, no big deal but I also noticed it was softer and maybe a little thicker, when I went to torque the bolts down to spec (104in lbs iirc) the gasket started to get smashed out. What I did was hand tighten and used med lock tight. Guess we just wait and see.
yea they usually “ooze” out or whatever as u described, and then start leaking after maybe 1 or 2 oil changes… if that. happened to my integra, got oil all over everything lol
Looks great!
I’ve used Fel-Pro and had some good results. I guess it depends on the motor and bolt location. 104 lbs-in sounds excessive, at least to me, for an oil pan on a Aluminum block.
wow very clean!
look at them dope motor mounts!
looking good man
ive never had aproblem with felpro oil pan gaskets as long as honda bond was used in the right spots
↑ yes use some honda bond and you will be ok. People forget that shit. Napa oil filter is only for the first oil change??? Looks fucking great. I wish i had money to dump into a car, fucking house owns me.
104 in/pounds sounds right to me on that oil pan, it converts to almost 9 ft/pounds so its really not that much…good luck with that pan gasket, i hope it works out for you. i would hate to see something little like that ruin the cleanliness of your car, or at least cause you a major pain to clean it up hahaha

i also like where your oil filter is relocated, that will also keep it nice and clean during oil changes
Thanks… they worked out great! What a bitch getting all 5 to line up.
So after looking in the book I see it calls for honda bond. I have never used it on the pan befor… but I have always used honda gaskets till this time… we will find out. Not to worried about it getting dirty… “race car not show car” lol
Does this look like its in all the way?
Head should be finished this weekend!
New SS hardware for the turbo mani! Only $1.20 each lol
Not done but good for right now, dont mid the starter… I’ll clean it later on
Clean
Ready for the morning
240cc for start up
is the valve cover painted? or is it just sandblasted real good…either way i love the way it looks on the color of the car
It was vapor blasted. I can’t decide what I want to do with it if anything. Might just clear it.
dont drive this car, put it in a museum! very clean and nice build.
For the start up I am going to be using the 650 injectors, curious why your using the 240?
