Haha, not trying to start a debate, just looking for clarity. It just looks and sounds silly to me.
Car looks great man:tup: Are you going to do any sort of (evo style) metal venting to clean up the hole or leave it raw?

No worries
Um probably raw… I haven’t even installed the window trim or door seals… low on my priority list. Eventually I will get to all the odds & ends. I have the original hood that I may bring to a body shop and see what they can do, Im not to worried about weight.
Haha yeah i’d be much more worried about TRACTION with that set-up. I’m glad to see your priority list is proper.
Looking forward to tuning results:tup:

with that setup, i honestly see 500whp on pump gas to be noooo problem, and your fuel system is good to 700 on race 600 on e-85 depending on how much boost
any reason so low compression?
No, not really…
I’m at 90% duty cycle at 500hp on E85 with dual walbros at 55psi base, ID1000s.
600hp would be a stretch with E85 on ID1000s
I’m not inventing anything here, Basically coping what many others have done. I think the 044 must help pick up the slack from the 255. I also think part of going to the dyno is to find the weak link so you can make it stronger.
Thanks for the reference
Im sure you’ve seen Tony1’s pump combo reference chart for the ID1000s.
He says 550-600hp on E85 with a walbro/bosch combo but thats at 100psi.
So Im good then
muckman, ya thats what i said 600hp should be maxing e-85, he has the regulator and enough pressure, obviously it will run out of breathe around there though
lmk when your going to be down there, id love to meet up with ya but i work that day untill 5
to be honest with that compression you should be able to do mid 500’s on pump gas, all IMO and of course I would wait and see what it baselines at because not every setup will make the same power
500 93
600 E85
Sounds good to me.
So the Evo battery I was using for the winch just wasnt cutting it.

Or acutaly, your appt was the 21st… How did it go!!!
Dan
It was going very well, then spun a bearing
damn man
Aww shit. WTF happened?!
How far did you guys get in the session?
Oh no!! What happened
eek, that blows
It hasn’t totally sank in yet… really discouraged right now. I don’t know what happened. The theory’s I have heard so far… To high of oil temp, to tight of clearance, oil pump failure.
Anyways… I have to take it apart. And even then who knows if I will be able to tell.
I was real nerves the first few pulls, then when everything was going well I started to relax and actually had a big smile when this thing started making power. Sounded so good…
We were about 4hrs into it. Tuner was real good, let things cool, checked plugs every pull…
We got to 425 @ 14psi… goal was 20psi
