PM me if you ever want to sell this car.
great thread, I don’t know how I missed this one. I’ve always wanted to go through all the suspension and brake bits and powder coat them, it looks soo clean.
Not bad for my first bends…
New E-brake cables
Dropped in the engine so I can do some mock up.
I also adjusted the suspension, maybe to much. I’m going to fab up a new lower frame, the stock got bent in somewhere along the way, I suspect while coming off a trailer. Then I noticed that my new WG location will interfere with the oil cooler mounting rail. So I’m starting over and might not run the oil cooler. Going to use the traction bar as a sort of datum.
Need to get the V-band welded up still so tape for now
looks like its coming together nice
where did you get the reducer for the downpipe?
Vibrant performance, verocious motorsports, ATP turbo, burns stainless, spd exhaust… To name A FEW… Www.google.com
loven the build, not liking the lip tho.
Thanks, Still a bunch to do!
The question was where I got it not where you can get one… I bought the down pipe second hand but it was made by AFI.
Yea the lip doesn’t seem to fit very good? I just clamped it on to get some dimensions.
Got the calipers back from sandblasting
Then went to town with the grinder
New vs. old
u shoudda fabbed up a rotisserie for the car and spot welded everything like they do to rally cars for uber-stiffness haha.
hardcore stuff, looking good.
looking great!
I was thinking about doing a brake line tuck on my car this winter while i had my motor out. Where did you get all of your parts from, and roughly how much did it cost?
Nice work.
Those Calipers and Brackets look great. Are you going to have them powder coated?
stuff looks good shrek!
Most of the hardware came from Summit racing.
Flaring Tool -$30
Tubing Bender -$10-20
Stainless Steel Brake Hard Line 3/16 x 20’ -$40
Bulkhead, -3 AN -$7 each (going to need 6)
Bulkhead Nut, -3 AN $7.92 a pair (need 3 pairs)
Male -3 AN to Male 10mm -$14.69 pair (3 pairs for the Proportioning Valve)
Tube Nut, -3 AN -$3.25 pair (10 pairs)
Tube Sleeve, -3 AN -$2 pair (10 pairs)
Then you have to get fittings for the master, some use banjo fittings. I used metric to tube adapters. It adds up quick.
I wanted to have them powder coated but Im running out of time and money. I used this, I’ll see if it hold up, if not I’ll get them done down the road.
Great looking build, I love the attention to detail.
you needed the bulk head fitting to run the brake lines to a prop valve, correct??
great build and attention to detail. Whats the build geared toward? Drag, track, street?
No you need the bulk heads to go thru the firewall. Im moving the prop valve to inside the car. Keeps the bay clean.
I want to drive it on the street but looking to do some drag and maybe track it. IDK Going fast.
4 bolt cut off
do u have any pictures of your brake tuck from the inside?
