Lately I have been seeing people abusing the avatar/signature rules as we have laid out here : http://www.son240sx.org/forums/showthread.php?t=125

And as such, all avatars will be capped to 150px by 150px and signatures will now be capped to 500px 150px (text + images).

If you use a larger av or your signature exceeds the assigned space, it will be clipped off.

IMO, the Avatar is still too big… There is no need to have anything larger than yours G.
