So I have a question that Google and the internet can’t seem to accurately resolve.
Light synopsis…I have a house member that seems to lack a sense of privacy. Taking things randomly kind of thing…he sold his 55’’ TV and returned my 42’’ to the living room to take its place without my permission. Borrowing things without saying anything (which I wouldn’t care about if it wasn’t my tool set and it was gone when I needed it to do my brakes). But anyway. He can pick locks. The way our doors work, they need to be pushed as the lock is turned in order to open.

I would like to set up my door so 2 locks must turn together to open. So I would need to put in both keys simultaneously to open or close the door. I have not yet purchased the locks, so I am open to purchase suggestions as well in order to accomplish my goal.
We’re working on this one right now with our landlord…but I need something for the time being. I have a pet in my room and a lot of expensive electronics that I can’t afford to lose.
I know man, but like I said I need something that will hold over for now. We have someone else lined up and ready to move in, when they come in the doors will lose the locks.
Thanks Kevin, I guess the moral of the story is you don’t REALLY know someone until you live with them. I didn’t know a lot about each of my house mates until I lived we moved in, and some things I’m happier know than others. But violation of privacy is one thing that was absolutely agreed wouldn’t happen, and here we are. Maybe when our landlord confronts him he will be willing to change. Maybe he won’t. We are supposed to talk to him tomorrow and tell him the full story of whats going on and that we have another willing tenant to take over the lease.
So I’m having some trouble installing any kind of lock…there’s a bunch of really shitty holes behind my door plate, its like the fucker wasn’t meant to be locked :headbang
Help is probably hard without pictures, so some will be posted after I get the shields back off. fml
