sirius

not for long.

Howard Stern will bring Sirius to the mainstream like HBO + MTV brought cable to everyone’s houses.

“Who will pay for radio?”

I’m sure 25 years ago people were saying “Who will pay for television?”

you cannot predict the future… so stfu.

sirius has better stations

yep stern is a fag…enough said

Howard stern is already on ON DEMAND :blue:

yeah great, that was my opinion as well. No need to quote me.

sorry  but you didn’t make that clear with your post.

the battle of quoting = classic

What in the hell do you think “I’ll Pay” at the beinging of the sentance means fucktard?

Thats what I’ll DO and why. learn how to read

I’ve had mine for about a year, awsome heavy rock selection. Stern = Poop as well.

i hope to get one soon, not sure whether i want the portable or just a car reciever, actually i’m not real sure how they work so i need to go check out my options sometime soon.

the portable ones use a FM modulator that you select a FM station and it brodcasts over your radio.

If by car reciever you mean, a head unit that is sirius ready, you have to buy a headunit and the siruius tuner box which is sold seperate. When a head unit has Siruis or XM ready listed it just means there is a direct connect for it.

I personally like the Headnits and you get the best sound from them. I had one in my cav and Jenn has one in her cav both of them are direct connects.

In My truck I have a Kennwood anywear unit which uses the FM modulator and suprisingly the unit I bought has an excelt signal and you can pick frequencies form 92.1 all the way up to 106.7. I have my radio set for 102.5 so I can just flip real quick between the two. The Modulator has enough power to actually overide DVE’s signal.

Old modulators had a limited selection on what freqs you could use and they had to fight with local stations for signal.

This is the one in the Truck. I highly recommend it and everyone I have referred to is not disapointed. Kenwood KTC-H2EC Package KTC-H2E SIRIUS tuner with car kit at Crutchfield

Whats nice about this is you can buy a home docking cradel and pop the unit out and use it in your house. The Home cradel is only 40 extra bucks.

Also if you go with a portable one like that check and look for VEHICLE SPECIFIC Mounts. it eliminates the need to use the gauwdy sucktion cup thing. I have one in the truck and it was well worth the 35 bucks the attached picture is what my mount looks like and where it is placed…

Like previously stated I recommend Kenwood products. I have used them for the past 10 years and have never had a single problem. I have also used Alpine, SOny, Clarion, JVC as wll but the Kenwood always worked flawlessly and in some aspects they don’t skimp on parts like geairng for video screans and so forth.

Hope that helps some…

They do make recievers with the tuner built in…but the ones i’ve seen cost more then buying the 2 seperate.

my clarion pro audio head unit is sirius ready and cost a mint

Just activated it yesterday. I like it. Where else can I get Slayer, Testament, and the Humpty Dance all from the same radio?

mike, i like the one you posted, i was actually looking at one similar to that, but is there a way to also use it like a walkman?(do they make one that will do this?) also can it easily be switched from different vehicles. how does it get hooked up? if i can find one that does what i want i will ask santa to bring it.
