when crashing bikes take the cake lol. you can jump off the board and you can slide on skates but when you crash on a bike you have a 30-50lb metal object coming at you.
and john the handle bars part is true but the brakes arent lol…riding with no brakes FTW
there are better outdoor parks when the weather breaks…a nice one in GI…Xtreme is nice for the winter but i used the winter to teardown and repack all my bearings and upgrade parts…i might go there again before the parks open
ive been thinking about getting inot this again alot since this thread.
Are there any local rollerblade skate shops i can shop around at?
and can anyone tell me local skateparks?
thanks
ryan
meh to each his own right? right. why cant everyone get along i have friends that skate board (one is my roomate) and some bikers they are normally pretty crazy guys.
skateboarding never gave us respect when we tried to soo we gave them the same back and now they are bitching? bull we gave you guys a shot. and almost every skate board group of kids growing up had one rollerblader and biker in it.
sure skateboarding is hard but saying that rollerblading isnt is just a lie. go try any true spin trick on a rail and land it within a few trys. just the same as skateboading not going to land a kick flip within 3 trys just starting skateboarding yesterday.
soo give each sport the respect it deserves. and you’ll get it back but i havent seen anyof you guys posting your pics or a video like the one i posted a while back.
king pin is closed has been for about 2 years now i think thats the one in lockport. indoor parks loose all of their money in the summer season thats why they cant stay open around here.

i mentioned this before. in general, the burden was on the rollerbladers, not the skateboarders. skateboarding was around first, then rollerblading came up, trying to take the same spots, parks, names, style, etc. luckily the style changed to a weird rollerblading thing of its own.
whats hilarious to me now; tight jeans are popular in skateboarding, so obv they’re popular in (what’s left) of rollerblading.
it looks so comical to me to have some kids in skin tight pants with huge rollerblades at the bottom
well its already changed some kids kept the style of tight jeans or kids are not wearing jyncos anymore. tight jeans were like 2 years ago in rollerblading. but yeah i will agree that it is a stupid trend. and looks stupid too.
best skates now are prob razors (nothing to do with the scooters) are the best. salomans are now out of bizz in the U.S. soo thats a no go for them but you can get a europen shop to send them over for pretty cheap.
