Sleeper 4.3 s-series Jimmy

One of the guys down in Charleston finally finished up a build he has been working on for about 2 years in his spare time. It won’t win any awards, but I bet it will surprise quite a few…

aftermarket V8 intake cut down to fit on a 4.3L with a 90mm TB

The engine is a stock bottom 4.3 with a custom cam grind, springs, pushrods, HD single roller chain, head studs, and the intake manifold. It will be running a 2004 PCM with a 2bar custom OS.

Run 3 is at 8 psi and Run 5 is 10 psi. Timing was the same for both pulls.

and here’s the dyno video

cool build reminds me of my buddies 4.3 build. he de stroked it so it could rev higher safer. plus the de stroked chevy motors make good power when you have a head and cam to flow past 8.5k

diggin it minus the buck tooth intercooler/oil/transcooler hanging out there.

Alot of work when you could put a single on a 4.8 or 5.3 and get another 100hp. but I like the ingenuity with the 4.3l work.
