Side note/related People that drive stoned piss me off.
If you can’t form complete sentences, or catch a lighter tossed towards you why do you think you can drive a car?
“Oh well i drive better when I’m stoned because i’m more cautious!”
It’s not about how cautious you are, it’s about reaction times and NOTICING the child running out infront of you, something stoners are no good at.
So you run the child over at only 50km/h instead of 60…
And then slam on your breaks.
thats a pretty wide brush of prejudice your waving, paint em’ all the came colour eh?
ignorant people piss me off…oh yeah and people who don’t signal or check their blindspot, or yeild the left lane
I’ve heard a couple people use that line (“…cautious”) myself actually…terrible.
Driving under ANY influence is now a bad idea even solely based on the enforcement lately, if not to mention the obvious.
And, it’s BRAKES. Sheesh.

are you honestly trying to justify driving stoned?
i certainly hope not.

Justify, no. for who? you? son-lings? I know myself, and how I am. Sober I drive like an impatient asshole, with no regard.
Hand me a… and I could care less how long it takes me to get anywhere, it becomes about the journey, not the destination.
I could care less who believes me, cause for those who know me, know how it is.
then again, it ain’t for everyone…
innocent people on the road? for them I have Z32 brakes/MC, and SUPER sticky khumo snow tires…
oh yeah, and “cast the first stone…” speak on guilty ones…

so not only are you saying that you drive like a fcuking ass hole sober but you have no idea where ur going when ur high as a kite… journey? fcuk that. if you gotta get high go sit in ur garage…
GT
I don’t have a garage.
speak on what you know…
and as for journey, no, I drive resposibly and enjoy the ride, the scenery.
High as a kite, uhm do you know me? cause that ain’t me pal,
ever aced calculas/algebra stoned? I have.
In certain people it fully impairs them, in others the same effect isn’t found.
Moral superiority? inorance? lets leave H’s thread be…
EDIT: theres stupidity, then theres smoking in between multiple (in use) gas pumps, haven’t quite figgured out what category that guy falls in?
It’s proven that being high slows your reaction times. It’s not an individual person situation, it has to do with how fast your brain understands the signals.
i’ll agree with darian on this one.
ok in the brod sceme of things driving stoned is probably a bad idea. but, like booze, it effects everyone differntly. It depends on your mood, state of mind whatever. I know some people, not jsut women, that get absolutly trashed off of 2 drinks…but are still “legal” to drive. Same goes for weed. I know i shouldn’t drive stoned, i’ve curbed my wheels a few more times than i like, because of how relaxed i get. But it effect me differently than the person who is standing next to me.
Whatever, go crytisize yourselves for being jackasses in 1 way or another.
and we’ll all see hector’s car sunday…
back on topic tho, the accident happened in a parkinglot, not on public streets. Now does it come under the same law that a hit and run on the road would becasue the guilty party was driving impared?
cause if not, h probably won’t see a dime.
and if he does, the guys insurance co will only give 50% of the money it’ll cost to fix it.
whoa, Being stoned & drunk is totally different.
Some people smoke everyday so they dont get retarded. Now, yes I admit there are some people out there that get soo silly off a few puffs & I have no idea why but for me & a lot of my buddies it doesn’t even effect us. Myself I know I’m an angry person and If I was not to smoke then I would flip out all the time. Half the time smoking keeps me on the ball.
When I don’t smoke my A.D.D kicks in like a son-of-a-bitch so that’s why I smoke on a daily basis. I ended up going to class sober for a week & the teachers ended up telling me to go take a smoke-up break.
Drinking & driving is wrong, very wrong. I personally can’t say the same for weed.
last night
Racing some mazda speed in my miata when I noticed a van going a bit to fast in my provisional view so I downshifted hard while breaking… The van ended up coming half way into the intersection. If I hadn’t of stopped the mazda that I was racing would have been smoked & he would have smoked me. & I just finished blazing a hooka session.
Driving under the influence (alchohol/high) is playing with fire. Period. No arguments. Grow up and use these substance recreationally. If you try to tell me your not affected, then your disollusioned. It’s like saying your a better driver when your tired, it’s not true.
Guess what, you can’t have your cake and eat it too.
hey, I didn’t say i go uneffected. I said that it takes the edge off of my temper. & those who smoke everyday know that they are hardly effected like other’s are, or how they once were. I bet nutta would raise his hand to that.
Obviously I’m not as good as a driver as I could be if I were sober… But on the scale I’m pretty sure it evens out. Because if I was sober I’d have road rage, and when I smoke I’ cant do 3 things at once like I usually can, (phone, shift, smoke, drive) So I don’t even try. But so far I haven’t come across any problems with me & my erbs so on I go.
Just throwing in some naplam to the mix here:
Health Canada recently released a study that showed you were less likely to crash while high compared to sober. Of course the opposite is true with alcohol, and if you mix the two it becomes a million times worse.
Weed makes you a more cautious driver who is less inclined to take risks (along with slowing your reaction times of course). I wouldn’t do it before doing any sort of spirited driving or anything … but just driving to a destination?
Why drink and drive when you can smoke and fly ?
BAM!
I couldn’t of put it better myself & I totally agree… when I smoke I don’t do stupid shit. I don’t even like cruising. Point A. to Point B.
Yea ive been in the car with a buddy right after we smoked a fatty. Came out of a mcdonalds, making a left turn onto mclaughlin, was almost t-boned once, then rearended right after that. But, no, being high had nothing to do with it right? Sober hes a fantastic driver. Its called misjudgement, and the likeliness of it happening is multiplied by 1000x in many stoned individuals.
BAM!

Well, I look at it like this.
All it takes is one person that can’t handle it. There is a legal limit with alcohol because you can measure/quantify intoxication, however there is no way to effectivly measure intoxication while smoking (maybe a lab could measure but not a police officer… ). If it was legal to smoke, but illegal to drive while under the “influence” there would be no such thing as an exception. You couldn’t argue to the police officer “it calms my nerves”… That’s weak.
Granted, you have your reasons for endangering the lives of others while high behind the wheel. I just hope “it’s my A.D.D.” or “calm’s me” or “i’m more cautious” holds up in court when your sentenced with 2nd or 3rd degree murder while under the influence.
I figured someone would bring up the supposed “Health Canada” study’s.

So far they haven’t reflected their site saying “You should smoke pot while behind the wheel becuase it’ll make you a better more cautious driver.”
You can’t be the exception, stop justifing it.
police have way better things to worry about than someone who can hold their own when their stoned.
& I’m trying not to justify it it because each individual is effected differently, & some people just get plain stupid.
AP read that! Make sure you note the sarcasim.

I’ve got a game for you, you come over sober, ill grab a flyswatter in my left hand and a tennis ball in my right, ill try to hit you however possible. Then you go get high and we’ll play again, … except this time for money.
BTW, i will try to hit your groin, cause its funny.
Oh, and i dont want to hear the fu(king excuse of being a more cautious driver. … here’s an idea, BE A MORE CAUTIOUS DRIVER SOBER.
driving like an asshat < driving high < DRIVING LIKE A NORMAL PERSON
^^^^^^^^
Now that is funny, Tape it
