Went up the on ramp to the thruway side ways is my truck 2wd FTL. Roads weren’t great but still made it in just took a little more time.
i punched about 7 babies on the way to work this morning. doesnt snow for a week and people forget how to drive. took forever to get here. fuck.
lol while that is true, alot of the streets and even the thruway onramp werent plowed yet
speaking of which, I almost crashed the car coming off the 290 onto the I90-east last week… passed a semi on the right while on the ramp… as I finished passing and at the apex of the turn, hit a patch of packed down snow and sent the car into a tailspin. Held it sideways down most of the ramp and hit a dry patch, thus spinning the car back the other way 360* and somehow managed to regain control and drive away.

At no point have I seen the 1-2" per hour stuff they were talking about but it has been snowing steadily since I got here at 7:45. I’d say Amherst will end up in that 6-8" range they were predicting.
I decided I didn’t like the truck in front of me so I locked my brakes up when he decided to merge from the left lane, to the right lane, to the center lane in a matter of 15 feet or so @ 30mph.
I went WOOSH!!! and KABLAHHHH and then WEEEEEEEEEEE around in 4wd, drifting sideways for about 50 feet, caught the truck and managed to straighten it out.
I must say, I OWN at driving this thing. All the fucking around in parking lots has made me an amazing winter driver haha.
If it wasn’t for me nearly shitting my pants, you’d think I totally meant to do that on Maple.
