There is an (effect) 91 degree difference between Chicago (-36 real feel) and NYC (55) right now.
Tomorrow at 7 AM: negative fucking 25. :noes:
seems like tomorrow may be a good day to work from home

Global warming was nice while it lasted…
I live 1 mile from work and I’m considering this. When you’re a fairly new homeowner, weather like this really makes you nervous. I always wonder if I’m going to lose heat, power or both. I just got a generator, but have not back wired it yet to be able to run my boiler/sump pump. I need to get on that…
It’s already coming down here pretty good in WS and the wind is already creating havoc.
I need an adult

Now who’s like me and going to skip snow removal because the extended forecast puts Saturday in the low 40*s?
I was excited when they were talking about 3+ feet but now it looks like Williamsville is going to be a little too far north.
Should be good for skiing and snowmobiling though.
ive made it this far without snow removal, not going to start now. lol
FTFY
There’s one guy on my street who never clears his sidewalk too, and he’s between my house and my kid’s bus stop. I end up clearing his sidewalk but I make sure my snowblower pushes every flake right into his driveway. I’ll walk my snowblower down the road then loop back so I can make sure the snow from his entire sidewalk gets put behind his cars.
^Lol
I’ve got two tall boys in the fridge…Should be ready.
Someone buy me a snowblower.
Just did the tune-up on my 30yr old snowblower, kind of scared about the focus sitting in the driveway but I have no room for it anywhere else.
Sort of hoping the giant silver maple in my front yard falls onto my roof so I have free tree removal and a free new roof lol.
I’m really not worried, my car is a tank. 2 feet of snow would be interesting though. I’m really more worried about losing power.
About to leave for an overnight work trip to Pittsburgh in half an hour…this should be fun.
lol, I have no sidewalks (good thing as I am a corner lot). Otherwise I would do that at a minimum.
I told my wife you’d pick her up from work if it gets poop out.
“Buy a house in a neighborhood with sidewalks they said. It’ll be great for the kids they said.” I’ve got about 250 ft of sidewalk (Kitty Cornered house on a very large bend).
Snow is one thing but not being able to see and dealing with traffic is what bothers me. I dont want to be stuck in traffic and have it take 2+ hours to get home when I only live 8 miles from work.
Find said kids, pay $10 to shovel your sidewalk. Drink choice of beverage from the warm side of the window, making sure the kids do a good job. WIN!
I don’t have any kids in my neighborhood. If they exist, I’d rather not meet them or their parents. 3 years in, I’ve met two neighbors. My neighborhood only has families with kids in college.
The snowblower makes quick work. No big deal.
I do have the one guy that complains that my sidewalks aren’t cleared, but bitches when I decide to fire up the snow blower past 7pm.
