All of Genesee is still under a driving ban… so I’m not going anywhere again.
Even though there are cars flying down the road at what looks like normal speed.
I don’t like not going to work for snow. Makes it seem like I’m making it up.
One time when I lived in Lancaster and worked in Blasdell, I couldn’t get out of my apartments driveway since it wasn’t plowed yet. We got about 3’ of snow (this is ~4-5 years ago), and down towards OP/Blasdell they just got a little dusting. I showed up to work the next day and everyone was laughing at me for not showing up because of an inch of snow -.-
Snow totals coming in. They’re saying the lake iced over during this storm and caused them to be lower than predicted.

Roads are 10x as bad today in Lancaster/Depew/Cheektowaga and Buffalo. Wet packed snow with ruts and people not understanding it’s crucial to hold momentum = shitty drive into work. I miss my Suby!
My Jetta hasn’t moved in a week. I just got done picking up my wife’s boss ( she lives a few minutes away) and dropping them both off at work. Awd element with snows is a tank!
Ya ive been only driving the Xterra, my jetta is sitting on the lift in the garage with a broken Downpipe, waiting for me to get motivated to go out in the cold and drop it and weld it.
I’m in the south east part of West Seneca, I didn’t measure but I am around 2 feet. The snow has not stopped since Monday, we didn’t get a break all day yesterday, when the band shifted north it never went far enough to make the snow stop.
In all I cleared the driveway once yesterday and this morning.
I’m pretty impressed with the trailblazer in the snow. Im used to my old impreza and jeep with open diff’s. I doubt it would handle anything more than 2’ of packed snow with the low ground clearance but its a bear with the blizzaks.
Just went a bought this to get my driveway clear again. The one I have now is older than I am and I’m just sick of putting money into it every year. Now that I have this, it probably won’t snow again this year…
It’s up for sale. I just pm’d someone else who contacted me. I’m asking $150 for it as it’s an easy fix and has a lot of new parts. 2 stage Ariens, 5 HP I think? w/ electric start. If you are handy with carbs, it should be an easy fix. I’ll probably throw it on here and CL later today with some pictures. I want it gone from my garage pretty soon.
You know whats funny. I have a 30" 10hp craftsman thats 4 years old and a 24" toro from the 1970’s. The craftsman needs some carb work so I had to use the toro this time. The toro does have a newer brings motor but the rest is original.
