I don’t plan on going into it. I’m just going to stay on the outside edge by the lake / city.
Almost 4 feet here in Alden, this was taken at 7am this morning and its still puking out.
I can still see grass at my house on GI. My drive to work at Citi was dry pavement and grass the whole way lol
GF in west seneca has prob about 3 feet though
Johnny, dont you dare open that door! Johnny ! Johnny !!
That picture looks like me in 1977.
Here’s my father-in-law trying to get to the shed…The shed is where the snowblower is. (Alden)
You were 35 in 1977.
LOL… FAIL! This is why you move the snowblower close before the storm.
Not sure he anticipated 4’ of snow in his defense. Also not sure he could fit it in the garage with both cars parked there.
Just came back from venturing. I made it as far as south Cheektowaga before the police had it blocked and wouldn’t let anyone in. Definitely a big change from sunny Tonawanda!
Guess we’re making up for lost time, since we’ve had some recent winters where Tshirt and shorts was ok in January.
Your father in law? It looks like you were inside while he struggled in the snow. Lol
Why doesn’t he just walk through it and then fire it up in the shed and make a path back? Just got to be careful on the grass I suppose(but I don’t own a snow blower so maybe it’s not possible).
Nope, I’m almost 30mi north west of him. I’m an asshole, but I still would have been helping him

Try opening shed doors with 4’ of snow in front. LOL
<Update> he made it, but it looks like it’s about 7pm with the cloud cover.
NOAA is calling for 5-6 feet now in the persistent bands. Erie Emergency Services just put the call out for snowmobile volunteers. This has gone from “ha ha, look at all the snow” to “oh shit, this is really dangerous”.
I just got back from a little tour and Byron Brown wouldn’t let me get to the outer harbor, lol. I still got some great pictures.
That’s an awesome picture!
ya just icy in the city. Once I got through kenmore into Tonawanda, the roads were fine and sun was shining.
my brothers flight back home was obviously cancelled so he will be spending another night on my couch…
he seems to be ok with that outcome.
Yeah, people with medical needs that can’t get to the pharmacy etc, is a problem.
