Did you get to check out Clairton Coke Works? The coke batteries look like hell on the inside, nothing but yellow hot ceramic bricks lining it. One of the engineers threw his glove on top of a Slab when it came out the oven after i asked him how hot, it didn’t burn or smoke, it just went poof

I don’t think so, but this was 8 years ago when I was a co-op (intern) while going to school.
