actually the law isn’t clear at all on if they are supposed to be yellow or not. Blue is for emergency vehicles, but yellow isn’t even mentioned. At least NYS law anyways.
Basically, I made this post because I was kinda pissed, and needed to rant. I have been getting fed up with shit like getting followed by police for no reason at all (in the middle of the day, no, the headlights weren’t on so it wasn’t for that). When I have gotten tickets, the cops were at least somewhat pleasant about things, and made the traffic stop go smoothly. I don’t see why being a dick was necessary. Yeah, I didn’t get a ticket, and I’m happy about that.
And the thing about my exhaust is only in there because I thought it was funny. Apparently wiping off the soot from the stock exhaust tip when I wash the car is enough to make them think I have an aftermarket exhaust. That just kinda shows he didn’t know what he was talking about and assumed all imports owners had exhausts.
I figured. It was more therapeutic to go through the process of writing it, you know? At this point I figure 6 months I haven’t been bothered for them isn’t too bad. If I can get through the summer without getting bothered about them again, I’ll be cool. They didn’t give a shit at all in utica where I go to school. Cops there are used to lifted trucks with HIDs.
I’m sure CPD precint has a peg board full of those letters with a big sign above it titled “Assholes to BOLO”. Save the ink and paper and just be thankful you drove off without a slip in your hand.

Any colored head lights, blue or yellow are illegal and just asking for a cop to pull you over and ask questions all they need is a reason to stop you to comb for more if they are looking to bust some balls.
actually nys laws says that headlights are suppose to be white, the blue and red lights are about non-head/directional lights on vehicles as they are reserved for emergency vehicles. they especially don’t want u using those colors cause people will mistake u for an emergency vehicle, oh and they can give u a ticket for impersonating an emergency vehicle/officer depending on the color u use.
so you got pulled over because u didn’t follow 2 laws and you are mad about it? remember, colonie is one of the safest communities so they will pull people over for laws that are usually over looked in other counties/towns. if you want to get away with shit move to a city where cops have to worry about murders all day long.
