they leave pay per use data on the acct?
thats rough
edit: i bet you were texting those girls you see on tv commercials that will flirt with you, right?
that is rediculous
makes me glad I hopped ship from them to sprints $37/mon after taxes and fees unlimited data plan woot!
Sorta. They removed my data plan for shits and giggles :bigclap:
This is the first time I’ve had an issue with AT&T though, and they fixed it before my auto-pay hit, it was just kinda like :hay:
The service guy was like “Umm… I don’t know why anyone would have done that, it is so clearly stupid”.
Shhhh!
very nice, i figured something of the sort. Using $2100 worth of overage on voice is pretty hard unless you’re on a cruise ship for the month or something.
Are you on a premier account? Ever since I added the corp discount number a few years ago, the business care people have kicked ass on whatever I’ve asked for. They’re not limited on call time metrics and such so they actually take the time to fix the account right
yeah i told them from the beginning i didnt want texting, which they can turn it off so you dont receive any. well it wasnt turned off when they gave me the phone…soooooo, i texted people. i got a bill about internet charges for like hardly nothing but again i didnt want any of that. so i called told them to turn it off. the one lady told me texting was off. so i continued using it due to thinking i wasnt getting charged for it. next thing you no i have a bill for $170 because of texting. regular bill is ruffly $50. i called and told them i wanted the texting off from the beginning. they said they would make sure it was turned off and they would credit me back for any problems. so next thing i no im still able to text and receive them. so i though it has to be off now. sure as shit they sent me a nother bill for it. i called up and got some bitch. i told them that it was still on. when she asked my why i was still using it, i told her it shouldnt matter. ive told you guys to turn it off now 2 times, it should be off. any charges should be dropped due to you guys not listening or doing things correctly. this bitch did nothing for me, so i called again and got some nice girl, next thing you no i get all charges dropped, they actually credited me back for more than what i had to pay for. and they finally turned it off. it was put in the notes like 3 times that i called to have it off. sweet thing was i didnt pay for a bill for like 3 or 4 months and i never payed the full 170$ from the beginning. this was with at&t
so you asked them to turn it off, but you still used it, then bitched when you got billed?
:bloated::ham: sounds like you were trying to screw them from the start and luckily got away with it. Why else would you keep using it, unless your self control really is that poor?
i recevied a phone bill like that once, but it wasnt nearly that much. more like $500. i switched plaans and someone forgot to add unlimited text/internet. it was a little nerve racking at that time heh
someone on howardforums had one for $30k and change one time, I would love to make that call
“Thank you for calling carrier x, what can i help you with today?”
“I have a problem with my bill”
“I can help you with that, what seems to be the problem”
“it’s 37 thousand dollars.”
" :uhh: "
i had that happen when i worked for radioshit and i was on the empolye plan and someone just said oh he does not work here anymore when i still did and i got a bill for 1k something b/c they put me on a pay per use plan … they fixed it in a week but it made me poop when i saw it in the mail
good going on your bill never seen 2k +
That’s why I refuse to use auto bill pay with the phone company. It’s too difficult to get things done sometimes if you’ve already payed.
X…
This is true, I got lucky here. I typically don’t open the paper bill until several months later when I get around to filling out my expense report. Autopay hadn’t gone through. I thought it had and he said I was getting a credit. “Thanks but no thanks, I really don’t want to pre-pay my bill for the next 2 years with an interest free loan mmm k?”
That is the most retarded thing I’ve ever read.
Edit- on your behalf.
I’ve had this problem with cingular before (and tmobile)
This should be illegal IMO. Yeah, you should be charged for overages but that’s a little excessive. Maybe limit it to 2X of what your regular bill is or something… there’s no way it costs them anywhere near that much.
You signed the contract.
Next you’re going to be tellingme that your ARM should be capped at .25% increases.
