2000 a4 quattro 1.8t. 76k miles, 1 owner florida car, dealer maintained with all records, etc etc.
Also is chipped, GIAC.
got it for 7k
and now i just realized that it will be cheaper to ship it here, as opposed to fly 2 people down to drive it back up.
…spend a little extra and have it this weekend?
…or spend less and wait about 2 weeks… HMMMMmm.
Unseen? Brave. Good luck with it. Hope its had the TB done, probably want to check the other usual suspects as well. I would def. go drive it back though.

installed by Audi with all paperwork:
Stage1 SPEC clutch system.
New timing belt/water pump at 70k.
a little brave (not-so-smart) not actually seeing the car… but here’s some more pics.
nice move, if you need help or anything with the b5 chassis 1.8 lemme know

thanks, will do.
I’ve been warned, not about this specific car, but in general about control arms being shitacular on these.
anything else i should watch for?
thanks, i’m pretty excited.
I’ve been out driving various local audi a4’s for the past couple weeks.
I drove 2 that were way in excess of 125000 miles on the ticker, and they still ran/shifted/handled amazingly.
Seems like with regular maintenance, these cars run strong for a long, long time.
I decided to look down south to avoid a car that’s been abused by road salt it’s whole life… and with NADA value being at $10,450, i think 7k is a decent price for it.
Should definitely make a solid car for you if you keep up on the maintenance. Hopefully not too many electronics go wonky, but only time will tell. For 7k, you can’t really go wrong.

yea… NADA clean trade-in value is $8500…
so if all else fails, i could go that route.
I have never had a problem going to get a car. You can make a trip almost anywhere in the country for $1k or less. Unless you’re buying a really cheap car, most times it’s worth it to look outside of the local area.
Nice…hope you got a good deal on it that you couldnt have found one closer to home.
I miss my a4 everyday so congrats

I’ve been searching locally for about a month with no luck. I found a few that had twice as many miles, that were going for about 8-9k… And they had major dents, decent rust, and other things of that nature that i wouldn’t care to have…
hahaha… well it wasn’t overly noticable… a little bit under the bottom door trim on all four doors…
The underbody on it was visually solid… but parts of the rear suspension were pretty flaky, as well as the axles.
I like shiny things, it keeps my ADD going strong.
If the car at some point has had some body work and the galvanized layer was ground off in the process, yes it will rust. Also, all of the untreated metal bits of the car will rust such as brake lines and bolts.
