MARK THE FUCKING CALENDAR VIPER966 HAS COME THROUGH WITH A WINNER!!!

Alrighty, I’ll post again in a year.

SL or old 911 from Californication. Get a bike too for the rare occasion that you aren’t drinking.

If you still want something old and impractical I suggest a 308 gts, w/ a stache of course

You didn’t buy that thing.

you could find a really clean one for well under 20k

SL55 AMG, But I am sure you have thought of this already

i actually support jams decision…but as much as i love a 308 they are just so old. i say you spend between 35 and 40 and get a 348 or MAYBE you can find a 355

Thought of another…

Boxster S or a Cayman?

i saw a black 355 go on ebay for 31k a couple of months ago… but it was a F1… and i heard that first generation of F1 trans were a nightmare unless you had deep pockets

I thought about this. I think anything but a 355 just screams “inexpensive old ferrari” mainly because the design has just gotten better and better.

I’ve been looking into Austin Healeys

Austin was going to be one of my suggestions. You might as well add British and unreliable to your requirements. I would recommend E type Jag over an Austin if you can find a decent example for 35K. Not really feeling the 60s Domestic land yachts.
E type :spunk:

Not “cool” enough. How about an NSX or something else relatively exotic and still reasonably reliable?

The price that the “Big Healeys” are going for is absolutely disgusting. I wish my dad still had the 3 he used to own, especially the 100-6 with the super super super rare no rear jump seats, the rear cowel came all the way up to the back of the front(only) seats. A fully restored 100-6 or MKIII can fetch over $65K, even nice one, not show quality here but still something to be proud of it over $40K. If you are seriously going to get one post up as there are some things to watch out for on them that he knows of. One thing that stands out in my memory is that if you jack them with a floor jack in the incorrect place(which everyone did) you dent either the sills or the floors badly. He knows all of the 10 bazillion hidden places where they like to rot also.

Good luck finding a decent E type for $35K. The thing with Healeys and XKE’s is that they are either going to be fully restored and go for $100K or be a complete basket case that some retard thinks he is going to get big money from someone looking to restore a car when in the long run just buying the already restored one will be much cheaper. XKE’s used to be obtainable for $35K in nice shape and Healeys were “cheaper” and more affordable. Healeys have gone up to the old Jag levels in terms of pricing and Jags are now up there with the really really expensive.
Also, the price of parts for an E Type is also something that will make you do a double take.

Werd^ Should of figured, I was thinking “value” or “badge for your dollar”.

NSX would be cool.
