So I bought another Conquest today. Car was at my house last summer, Iwas doing some troubleshooting as to why the oil pressure was screwy. After dropping the pan, I learned that there was bearing material just chilling inside. So i threw it back together, and called him up. He said ok, I’ll come get it, throw it in storage until Springtime, and worry about it then. He came and got the car, and off it went to Farmington.
Couple weeks ago, he IM’s me, asking me if I wanted anything off the car. I said yes, I would like the SHP Wheels (special extra wide wheels which only came on 88-89 specially equipped “Sports Handling Package” models). I said I’d give $200. He said, well what if you just took the whole car. I really did NOT need another Conquest sitting around in my yard. Against my better judgement, I said sure. How much? He said…$700. I said SOLD before I could think about it. Yesterday, he IMs me, and tells me that the car will be coming with an extra engine, and a full set of standard Starion wheels.
I picked up the car today. Engine and wheels, I will get as soon as his friend is around (they are at his friends house, but he wasnt around today).
I plan to fix the engine, and daily drive it, to keep the miles down on my red 88 that everybody has seen already.
