if it wasnt a wagon, I’d say maybe. if you could really get one sub $20K thats a pretty good buy.

I just bought a Subie Wagon and I’m very happy with it so far…I’m starting to really like the burble from the turbo boxer engine.

I just keep going back 'n forth. I was at the Saab dealer today and I can get a Aero (Turbo) 5-speed w/ the Cold Package for low $22ks including tax & license. But $19-20k would buy a nice used Lexus GS (so it’d work out to $22ish after tax & license also). Tough call right now. New car + warranty + fun to drive vs. pimp factor + more space + pimp factor. Hmmm.

Actually, yes. My daily commute (it’s not too bad, 20-30min each way) includes tons of stop lights on a 50mph pretty damn straight expressway. Then there’s the 270 degree on/off ramps from the expressway to the freeway. I borrowed my parents’ Camry for a few days when my car was down for the clutch and I didn’t feel like rockin’ my POS truck and honestly the super low handling limits got old fast. I drive aggresive, that’s just me.
Plus there’s something to be said for paying less for a car brand new than I’d be able to turn around and sell it for in a few months.
And say what you will, but I like the car.

I will momentarily look past the disappointing fact that you actually think that car looks good. A GS300 wont handle that bad. Im a very aggressive driver and a lowered Maxima does it for me. Im sure a Lexus with a little bit of a drop and a little bit firmer shocks will do the trick for you. Comfy pimpness in a daily driver > pure sportyness, especially when you have a hopped up Camaro in your garage.
